Worst service EVER! Burger overcooked! Lots of LIP SERVICE! At first I thought, gee, this doesn't look right, and it wasn't! But any place can have a bad day! This USED to be a favorite of the family, but apparently, the service as well as the quality have taken big hits! Sent my Sweet 12 yo GN to pick up burgers for himself, his Grandma and myself. He made the order for 3 burgers, first time, only got one burger! Went back in and they made two more. Online said burgers all CAME with lettuce, tomato, onions and pickle. His had NOTHING but a bun! Grandmas came with some lettuce, Mine came with enough lettuce to disguise it was BURNT, onions, a skinless tomato slice? and pickles chips. No ketchup, no mustard, no mayo! However, did include two packets of different mayos (dukes and a no name), one packet of mustard, and one ketchup. Grandma was so upset, she called down to talk to Michael, the server who waited on the GN, and he proceeded to say he does SO MANY BURGERS A DAY, how could he remember? Grandma explains that the grandson came on his bike, etc, then Michael remembers, "YEAH, he came in the wrong door!!!" and proceeded to REMEMBER THAT VERY WELL! But Michael couldn't remember what to put on the burgers, and what to charge for the burgers?! Well Michael, don't worry about what door the kid came in, because he will not be coming in ANY of your doors again, and oh, like I need to mention this, nor will I or his Grandma! So thank you for turning the situation into major fiasco, and instead of an apology and offer to correct your mess up! My advice, Hardees makes a better burger, includes everything they say, and will lettuce wrap your burger beautifully in paper so you can eat it easily, and guess what? No lip service! Just to be fair, GN said the cook was very nice, said hi to him and asked him to come back and see them! Which makes me think Michael the SERVER, may not know how to write an order correctly! I know he doesn't know customer service on any level! And if you are the OWNER Michael, like you told the 12 yo, SHAME ON YOU for jerking a 12 yo kid around and being a horses backside talking to my 82 yo Mother like a jerk when she called to talk to you!!
Have only ever had lunch/dinner at Burger Bar. Today, finally stopped in for a late breakfast. Husband had a loaded omelet and I had the corned beef omelet. Both were quite large and full of meats, veggies and cheese. The corned beef omelet was really good and husband also approved of his omelet. Service was super friendly and fast. By 10am, the usual crowd was gone so it wasn't noisy and we received our food within 10 minutes. They also have varieties of pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and platters. As always, Burger Bar never disappoints.
The food is always good and fresh and the staff is always friendly!!
What a classic diner/cafe very old school look, loved it and the burger was great! Thanks for a fun trip to yesteryears.
absolutely the best birthday lunch ever!! Super friendly atmosphere, great service and of course the meal was to die for! Special thanks to you Joe for being a great friend, and even better businessman!!
The food was delicious. The sides were large portions. The morman burger was our favorite. Best of all, the servers and cooks were super friendly and very quick. We highly recommend.
We stopped in here mostly just to get a shake. In the process I decided to get a burger for later. Decided on the Big Mic and was most definitely impressed. I'm a hamburger connoisseur which basically just means I get a burger nearly every place that offers them. This burger was flat out amazing. Cooked fresh, it had two massive beef patties on a warm bun with thousand island sauce on it. I had determined to eat the thing later in the evening but it was so good I went ahead and ate it right then. The milkshakes are also made on the spot, with a great selection to choose from.If I'm ever in Bristol again I know for sure this is where I want to stop and eat.
This is one of those places I just happened to drop into for a quick bite before going around the corner to the Cameo Theater for a Blue Oyster Cult concert, so glad I did! I had a burger called the Hey Good Lookin' and let me tell you it was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! I have stopped in a couple of other times while passing through Bristol. The food is always very good and the staff and owner do a great job making you fell welcomed!
The Moorman burger is delicious. The hot dogs are plump, cooked nicely, and the chili is great. Olivia is a great waitress with a lovely smile. Fries are good. Onion rings are good. Tea was fresh.
Best burger in town? State? mine was dry. Server took away fries before I was finished with them. Quality burgers and samiches available at Michael Waltrip's Brewery nearby. Best burger in the Stat is Spelunker's in Front Royal, VA. Disappointed.
