Best sub place around. Fresh cut meats as soon as you order and you can taste the difference. If you get there around the lunch hour, expect to wait in a line that sometimes reaches the door. Forget the chain places.. This place is the real deal and the staff is always friendly.
In my opinion this is the only place to go for a classic deli style sub. I literally crave them and have been visiting this location for over 10 years. The owner is a delight and his staff is just as wonderful and inviting
Been away for a long time and still think of this place. Going to try and make our own version today, but will never match the amazing subs Hamid and his crew made for us for decades. #10, nachos, and tea. Mmm....I'm hungry now. :)
I love the subs here, but the last 4-5 times I have requested a side of ranch, I have not received it. Very frustrating!
This place is a Blacksburg landmark. If you come here and haven't gone to Sub Station II, you really haven't visited Blacksburg.
Great place for a quick bite when you're near campus. They have a small outside deck under an old tree, plus cozy booths inside by the sandwich line. Nothing fancy, but always fresh-sliced meat and brewed sweet tea. The owner is usually there slicing the meat, and the folks who assemble the sandwiches are a Blacksburg institution.
They have a wide selection of excellent sandwiches. A traditional deli style sub shop with good meats and cheeses. The subs are 6-in and 12-in. Their sandwiches are served on a wide pan bread. Quality bread all around. I ordered the reuben and it was quite tasty. I would have preferred it hot. I thought she put it in the microwave but when I got it the sandwich was still pretty much room temperature and slightly cool. I've had their chicken salad said before. All are well done. The only small flaw I see with them is that they serve Pepsi products instead of Coke products. They also have cookies, and the wide selection of chips to go with the meal if you get the meal.
You must get a sub here if you're in town. Forget jersey Mike's or Firehouse. This place is legit.
I've gotten a large #7 (ham & pepperoni) on wheat for 25 years--whenever I am in town I stop by at least once. They always have a consistent product with perfect meat:cheese:topping:bread ratios. Great people to boot.
Can't beat the price and taste! Always stop here when I'm in town.
