We had a 12:45 reservation and for the majority of our meal we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was good but not warm. We were a little disappointed at the selection. Brunch was over at 1:30 and they were cleaning up as we tried to finish our dessert. We will try an earlier reservation next time.
Service was very good. Prompt, all you expect. The food items were limited in comparison to what used to be offered. Several items in chaffing dishes were not kept hot. Eggs Benedict tasted good, but were not hot, When bacon ran to, just as I was about to get some, a cook replenished it. The problem being that it was just dumped into the tray leaving one to try to pull apart this mass of intertwined bacon. (It did taste good...) The hostess did try to make things right and had the kitchen bring up a fresh eggs B....but it still was tepid. Best item on the savory side was a vegan shepherds pie. It was hot and very tasty Deserts were good...We used to love going to a brunch here when there was great choice and food (including both an omelette station and a meat station) but it seems they have not recovered from COVID and the kitchen is letting them down.
Poor selection for brunch. Some food was cold and/or left from breakfast. Disappointing. Service was good and the hotel is wonderful but brunch at Prestonâs was very lacking.
We were there just for breakfast as part of our stay at the hotel which included the breakfast buffet. Definitely would not recommend it! Buffet was pretty much inedible. They even managed to mess up the fresh fruit and orange juice.
Preston's has great atmosphere, but the quality of the food is poor. Our family attended the Sunday brunch.
We’ve been to the Inn for years and since they’ve changed ownership, it was THE WORST we’ve ever had. Standing roast roast carving station prime rib was tough and cold, soup was nasty veggies in water and tasteless, chicken breast over cooked, beef with veggies were so over cooked that they shriveled up and unrecognizable. The meal was a special graduation week Buffett for $45 per person running all week but it was so sad. The Hostess was in sweats and seated us at a used table with used half-drank water glasses, list goes on. It’s tragic since this used to be TOP NOTCHED but don’t bother and go elsewhere. Even the manager and wait staff apologized for the bad food. Yes, we STILL HAD to pay full price. Just heartbreaking.
This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food and service were equally terrible. And the worst part? $45 a plate. Do NOT come here.
We did not realize that there would be a buffet when we made the reservation. Limited Buffet. Several of our guests ate very little because there was nothing with that they enjoyed. The drinks were very average.
Graduation buffet
Brunch before graduation. Service was very good. Problem was the buffet was very lacking. Two lettuce options with cheese, carrots and dressings. Warm item were chicken parmigiana and flank steak. There was also broccoli, peppers rice and rolls. Many desserts were available. We had eaten at Preston’s several years ago and were looking forward to the same experience we had had then which had been wonderful. Food selection had been fabulous. This visit was the extra opposite as our previous dining experience concerning the the lack of choices that were offered.
