The chorizo gravy is the best! Service has always been great!
We found Lucky's in our effort to grab breakfast before we headed over to the VT Softball. Dave/David waited in us and was a huge pleasure. He was attentive & friendly (even if he's a Carolina Panthers fan ?). The coffee was hot & fresh and the iced tea was fresh. We started with the Beignets - great! Our breakfasts were presented as ordered... Scrambled Eggs & Sausage, Blue Cheese Scramble and Spinach & Ham Scramble. We bought a Tshirt because we really enjoyed this place! For sure added to our stops when in Blacksburg!
Great service, food was delivered quick and everything was amazing. The grilled pimento is where its at. App sizes are great as well.
My friend and I got the Denver sandwich and it was decent. I feel like it needed a sauce because it was a little dry. No sandwich or entree comes with any sides which is kind of ridiculous. I paid two dollars for 1/4 cup of potatoes on the side. Now for the breakfast burrito. It had no flavor. and SO many eggs. Like it was all eggs. I think there was 5 beans in the whole burrito. the tomato’s in it were raw. the beignets were huge and burnt. They were heavy and tasted not great.
Excellently burger, not your typical frozen patty. Cobb salad also very good. Hand made chips were warm an excellent, service was average.
Every time I go, the food and the service are fantastic! Not too loud even when they are packed. Highly recommend trying if you haven't been before! Also, a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table or ask if there is a wait time. Because they are so good, and depending on when you go, there can be a line. But it has always been worth the wait.
Was not pleased with meal.. was way too hot.. questioned waitress heat of one choice and she advised another choice which we ordered.. was very much too hot for our taste. When stated to waitress meal has too much heat she ignored my comment. The slaw meat and vegetables all had way to much heat!!!
BEIGNETS to start, were amazing. I ordered the Santa Fe omelette: great dish ~ exactly what I wanted. **Warning of traditional Gravy'n''biscuits lovers their menu states "A large daily-made biscuit topped with homemade chorizo sausage gravy (moderately spicy)" and so you think you're getting some spicy sausage with your gravy and biscuits... not so. It looks and tastes like spicy chili. I didn't alter my star ratings because it was delicious, however this was a major complaint from my party (who are all lovers of this traditional southern breakfast dish) just so you are warned. I enjoyed it because I'm over 40 and have had biscuits and gravy everywhere and love it, so if you want something different try it.
After a long day of driving we had a delicious meal at Lefty's. Their Chicken Hoagie Sandwich with citrus marinade, nuts and raisins was wonderful! This place serves really good food! The service was great too!
Got to have the pineapple upside down cake. Umm warm. Egg rolls fantastic. Pork tacos good.
