I have been ordering from Italiano's for a long time and had no issues until yesterday. However, when I got my Veggie Calzone yesterday, it came with pepperoni in it. I was upset because I'd specifically ordered the Veggie in order to avoid meat. This could be an even bigger issue for someone with a food allergy or other dietary restrictions.I was extremely surprised and disappointed because I've enjoyed Italiano's every other time I've had it. This kind of mixup can be dangerous and shouldn't be happening.
Placed my order through the app slice and asked for it to get delivered. The app said it was on the way but never arrived. Not a great first experience even though there wasn’t really an experience at all. Couldn’t even try the food.
The garlic knots that I ordered were completely raw, not even warm dough so it didn't even go near the oven. The pizza I ordered had no tomato sauce and was 80% cheese and then the crust was burnt. I also got a Philly cheese steak sub which was okay but by comparison to the other food that I got it was amazing because it was cooked properly and had all its ingredients. I am very very disappointed in Italiano's and would not recommend anyone get anything from here. I have ordered the stuffed mushrooms in the past too and they were terrible also. Waste of time and money.
This place is a gem. Don’t let looks fool you. Such good food. Recommend the chicken and lamb over rice. The owner is a really great guy as well. 10/10 will go again!
I ordered Italiano‘s as it was still open. I never received my order and online they said that they closed. . When I ordered it they said it would arrive before it closed. This is absurd and they should keep better track of their delivery drivers. They should be prioritizing their customers versus internal operations. When I tried to call Italiano‘s it went straight to voicemail. I called several times. They never answered. I am appalled at this treatment of a customer. Never coming back.
Great pizza if you want to pick it up. However, if you want to order pizza from somewhere I recommend you order from somewhere else. Ordered from them several times and the pizza was cold both times. Called them up and told them that my pizza was cold and the guy argued with me explaining to me that it wasn't his problem because it was cold outside. Just order dominos, atleast if your pizza is cold they won't argue with you.
Absolutely terrible. They never delivered our food and when we called them about it the manager began yelling at us on the phone and being incredibly rude. They refused to give us a refund, claiming that we ate our food despite it never being delivered. They ended up hanging up on us. It was very upsetting because they’ve always been reliable but that was such an awful experience. I’ve never had anyone yell at me like that before.
I ordered from Italiano’s today because they offer broccoli with their chicken Alfredo. It says with the option that it comes with broccoli and they didn’t put it on. I’m autistic and small details like this just absolutely ruin my day. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again anytime soon. My calzone is pretty good tho so I gave two stars.
My boyfriend and I do uber eats to make extra money. We get a order for Italianos pizza around 12:00am. When we arrived the owner stopped him at the door and told him that the order was picked up already. We asked the customer if they received their food they said no. We asked for it to be remade so we could get it to them the owner refused and said they were "closed." After that three other people walked in ordered food got their food and also another delivery driver picked up a order as well. The owner kept refusing to make the food because they thought it was the old order when it was not. The owner then changed his story and said they closed at 1am but still have orders and their "open" sign on. Do not go to Italianos if you want decent service and not to be discriminatiated against. Worst restaurant staff there is.
My favorite.place in Blacksburg. Definitely get their lamb gyro, or lamb anything else..their lamb is their specialty.
