Quintessential Vegan college breakfast spot. As parents it was perfect for visiting brunch. Shrimp-Grits and eggs Florentino are great

Came here for a late breakfast (10am). We were promptly seated. However, the service was not great. The waitress did not write down our order so that caused some issues even for just our drinks. We only order 2 ojs & a coffee and she forgot it. We ordered breakfast and the order was wrong. My coworker was finished eating before I even got my correct order. He breakfast itself was fine after I got my correct order. The biscuits on the other hand were hard as a rock. I guess they are used to feeding hungry college students who don’t care what they eat. I would not come again nor recommend this place.

Waited 40 minutes for a table, we're out of several dishes. Uninspiring menu ( menu online is much better/different but not current apparently). Terrible coffee, and not paying 12 bucks for a pile of potatoes with cheese on top.

Nice, pleasant, attractive place with a creative and imaginative vegetarian menu. I ordered the black cat reuben, which is a neat idea ... a traditional reuben made with catfish instead of pastrami. Really good idea, and the sandwich has quite a bit of promise (I am a bit of a reuben fanatic!). Really, the only thing that hurt the sandwich was the "blackened" spices on the fish, which was very strong in flavor. The blackening spices ended up dominating the sandwich, which should rather have the sour of the sauerkraut and the sweet of the dressing. Which is to say ... almost a very exciting sandwich!

Our group of four and a baby went here for breakfast/lunch on a late Sunday morning, around 11 am. They were extremely busy with about a 25 minute wait. Since we weren’t allowed to wait inside, we ventured over to nearby Squires Student center to stay warm on this freezing March day. Once seated, we were still pretty chilly as our table was right by the door, allowing the cold wind to blow right in. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the Chappy’s Choice and Gillies Special entrees with a side of a stack of pancakes. The food came out piping hot and very good. The biscuits were a bit cold, though. And, the coffee could have been a bit warmer. Overall, a good experience and we’ll be back.

Our very favorite restaurant. Delicious food artfully presented. Chef Noah is a treasure. I have to eat gluten-free and he can adapt most menu items. We are so very fortunate to have this restaurant in the NRV. ?

Really disappointed. Was looking forward to a good pancake however it was dry, salty and bland. DO NOT GET THE PANCAKES! The syrup didn’t help either considering it was bland as well. It tasted like water and water only. The potatoes were good though I’ve had better. What I recommend for good potatoes and pancakes is the garbage plate from thunderbirds cafe. If you have a chance go. The picture below is of all the stuff I had to add to the pancake (syrup, jam, blueberries) to make it edible and even then it was hard to eat.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been! This is small family restaurant from 1974 and you can see the son of the owner cooking for you in the kitchen! The staff is very friendly and nice! The food..., crazy delicious. Need to try!P.S. And the best thing is that it is 100% vegetarian!

What a lovely place full of wonderful people.Inviting, comfortable, personable. Best banana waffle, amazing choices, and pleasantly kind staff. Best in blacksburg.

Was in town for the football game. Went on a Friday afternoon. Not to crowded. Service was good. Food was excellent. Many great vegetarian options and some very unique ones. All good.
