I’m impressed how Price’s Fork Elementary School has been transformed, particularly with the creation of a Mexican restaurant. Some of the old school’s interior has been kept while adding beautiful carved Mexican booths for dining. The blown glass chandeliers are a nice touch!I own a home in the Yucatán so I was anticipating that my dinner would not be equal to meals that I’ve had in Mexico. I was wrong! The food was excellent and the waiters were attentive.I highly recommend this restaurant!
On the first it is located in an old school which is great to up grade an old building. But, figuring out where to park was a problem and not enough parking. Then we had to find the entrance because their were a couple of resturants. My husband had steak and shrimp they pounded his steak to oblivion which really throws of the texture . it wasn't tenderize it was pulp. I had fish tacos was good but not any seasoning on the fish.The server was great, attentive but not overbearing. Definitely enjoy the one in Dublin better. But, if your adventurous give it a try.
DELICIOUS. The food tastes amazing. The wait staff are kind and friendly. The dacor is beautiful it. My only issue is the cheese sauce turns my stomach but I'm lactose intolerant so that's not on them.
Our initial visit was about a week after they opened. We were seated almost immediately however our waitress didn't get our drink orders for about 20 mins. We ordered drink, apps and entrees all at one time. The drinks were good however we waited for over an hour for our food. The food was not worth the wait or the money. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for being a newly opened restaurant in the midst of a pandemic. We returned to give El Ranchero a second chance last week. We showed up on a Friday night and the place was fairly empty. I counted about 10 full tables. We were promptly seated and our drinks came out very fast. The appetizer we ordered came out about 25 minutes after we ordered it. It was small and bland. Once again not worth the money or wait. While we were waiting a family of 5 stormed out because they had waited so long for their food and I believe their order was incorrect. We finally received our entrees an 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered. I had ordered 3 tacos and they messed up my order. They taco meat was dry and bland.We hoped that after a few months of operation they would figure out how to manage a restaurant. I would avoid this place unless they make some drastic changes to their management and kitchen staff. The only things that were decent were the drinks.

Excellent quality food. Not super large portioning. Decent pricing. Good server despite being in training. Will come back to avoid the crowdedness of the other restaurants in Blacksburg. Cool atmosphere as well. Wish it was warm enough to eat out on the new decks!
Best Mexican food I’ve had in the area AND in a while! I got “Pollo con Arroz”, and it was absolutely delicious. Drinks were done well as well! The staff was very kind and helpful with answering any questions that our party had. I can’t wait to come back here!
