It was 6:30 and there were only 2 tables taken outside and a handful inside. We walked in with 2 adults and 2 small children and were asked if we had a reservation. We said no and she said that they had just sat a group of 10 and had a reservation for 20 coming up so we wouldn't be seated until after a "very long wait". It was quite confusing considering there were so many tables open and it seemed dead for a weekend night.We walked across the street for food at El Rodeo which is a smaller venue and they had the same amount of patrons and sat us no problem.Dissapointed to be from out of town and to have had this restaurant recommended and not even given a chance. Not a great depiction of how awesome Blascksburg has been to us.

There were some sandwiches on the gluten free menu but they had no gluten free bread to make them. The food was mediocre and tasteless and expensive. The pub side was more bustling than the dining side and many tables had been removed from the dining side. We had hoped for a special graduation dinner but left disappointed. If you want wings, salads, and burgers you will be better off somewhere else.

We have gone there many times, but had not been there since the pandemic began. The place must have changed hands. The pizzazz is all gone, the food is ordinary and way overpriced, the array of beers and barbecue sauces are gone, and the waitstaff are not very professional at all. Who took over this place?
The service was nice which is why they get two stars. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and kind. But the food was truly utterly disappointing. The nachos were $12. They were simply the worst nachos I’ve ever had. They nachos came out cold and the cheese was absolutely atrocious. It was this deep orangish yellow color on the surface and on the inside it was an unappealing pale yellow color. I believe this was canned cheese. Although cold, the cheese did not solidify as if it were real melted cheese gone cold, instead it became thick gel like slop. It had no “melted” appearance and was definitely not melted shredded cheese. Sure I can enjoy canned cheese, but we paid $12 for this dish and this cheese was absolutely vile and cold. I would have rather paid $3 and gotten the nachos from Taco Bell or 711 down the street. Everything else was just okay. But not good enough for it’s prices. The brisket sandwich was okay. And the mac and cheese was just…. Okay. The mac and cheese didn’t really have flavor besides just cheese so we brought it home and fixed it up with some spices. Due to the prices that do not match the quality of food, I would not return to this place.
Awesome food, convenient location! We were wanting drinks and dinner yesterday after a long drive. We're staying at Home2Suites so I looked for a place close enough to walk to. This place is a 4 minute walk from the hotel. We walked over around 5pm, we were seated and served quickly. Bacon cheese fries were amazing and so were the burgers. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
My friend took me me here for lunch last week and it was excellent. Ashley the kitchen manager was our chef. We both got the salmon and it was cooked and sauced perfectly, it was the best piece of salmon that I have ever had. We are going back today!
I have been coming to Bull and Bones for several years now but always felt it to be inconsistent in quality and service. This past Sunday on 3/6/2022 I took a friend out to lunch there and the food was so incredible that I could not believe! I have lived all over this country and world and a simple dish that Chef Ashey made of grilled Salmon and sweet potato fries and steamed Broccoli was amazing!!! The teryaki Glaze was awesome and the fish was cooked to perfection!! I just want to go there every day now ( unreasonable:) Thank you so very much Chef Ashley for an amazing meal! I will wait and see when you will be cooking before I come in!
We tried to come eat here tonight but the girl very rudely turned us away. She told us it was going to be an hour wait and that she had so many people ahead of us that it wasn't going to “work out tonight”. Everywhere on a Saturday night has a long wait, we knew we were going to wait, to not even be offered to be waitlisted and so rudely dismissed was surprising.
Our waitress is wonderful. Very attentive!!! Love this place
