It is good restaurant for anyone expecting Indian Veg food. Most of the dishes are good. They serve good quantity per serving for main course vegitable dishes. Staff is courteous and management is very responsive. Serving is very quick. Restaurant has tried to accomodate more tables in the compact space available with them. Also check their timings if you're visiting in the late evening/night cause their kitchen closes early to take order. One thing must be mentioned here, when we had dinner and left the restaurant, their staff came running to our car when we were about to leave, to hand over the bag forgotten there by my relative. Appreciated their alertness and integrity.
We ordered Sev Puri and dosa. On our request they could add ghee to the dosa, kinda making it like a ghee roast dosa. Sev puri was really good!! The dosa however was average (not that crisp) and sambhar didn’t taste anything like the ones you get at the south indian restaurants. If they can improve the taste of sambhar, i would love to try it again.
The food in this restaurant is just nothing but a scoop of chili paste and nothing else. We used to eat a lot earlier and now a days the is no other flavor but just chilies.when asked about it, the only reply you will get is it’s all good as they have tasted before packing. This has happened many times over and over again, it’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t waste time going there anymore. Even the attitude of people totally sucks including the management who doesn’t have a clue how to speak to customers.
Had this opportunity to try out this veg lovers heaven and it was as delicious as you can imagine!! We tried the Gujarati thali and Dabeli and were amazed with the food! I’ve become a big fan of their Dabeli and don’t mind ordering it everyday lol. I recommend this place for awesome veg food and I’m confident that you won’t miss meat here :)
We ordered Gujarati Thali, Rajasthani Thali and Dabeli. Gujarati thali was obviously better than Rajasthani thali. I think both have decent quantity for an adult lunch/dinner along with a snack.Gujarati Thali Review:White sweet kadhi and puran poli were my favorite. I liked dahi wada and khandavi too. Undhiyu and tindola sabjis were decent.Khichu in Gujarati thali was dry and cold. Something was wrong matar paneer too.Rajasthani Thali Review:Pyaz kachori, aloo sabji and churma were good.Gatte ki sabji and dal were okayish. Bati was like a small fried ball of dough. Rajasthani Thali didn't do any justice to the Rajasthani flavor.Dabeli:I liked dabeli. The bun and masala was fresh. I especially liked spicy garlic chutney along with dabeli too.Tip to the management: Let the customer have 1 dabeli and 1 vadapav since both are priced the same.
They food quality is not what it used to be and the customer service is the worst I have seen.. This restaurant is no longer worth it and there are plenty of better new options for Indian food. They are also quick to ask you to leave even if you have been there barely for an hour and will give you an attitude if you don't order a lot of food.
Love the food, ambience, and service. We usually don’t visit same restaurant within a week, we are back here within a day and that’s something; especially when there are so many options. Very authentic food and plenty of options. We might be back again within couple of days before we fly out. Very friendly staff. PS : love their puran poli ( sweet bread) I have not had one in 5 states I have lived in prior to visiting VA.
Great flavors and service. Chinese Bhel and Ragda Pattice were delicious. We tried new dish “Undhiyu” which reminded me of Punbaji aloo methi. Paan drink was pretty good as well.
There is no such thing as Rajisthani Thali. The bati was smaller than a penny. Dal was urad, and the taste was terrible. The restaurant was extremely expensive. Kids had cheese dosa, which was missing the cheese.
I have visited Rupa Vira in the past and have enjoyed the food and dining experience. Keeping the current circumstances in mind, I ordered a delivery from Rupa Vira (Uber eats) today and was terribly disappointed… I had ordered a Rajasthani Thali ($23.95) and all it came with were 2 small portions of curry, two small pieces of paratha, some white rice and a sweet (see picture)! Clearly overpriced for the food! I will never order delivery from RV again!!
