This is the 3rd time in about 2 months that we have been to Matchbox. I swore after the 2nd time I would not go back. But, gave it another shot. This time (Wednesday, July 13, 6:30PM 3 people) was worse than the 1st and 2nd. We ordered our drinks within 5 mins of being seated. My wife order iced tea and when the drinks came no iced tea; instead water. My wife decide to be ok with water. However, we waited 20-25 additional mins for the Server to take our food order. I had ordered coleslaw in place of fries. Fries came with my order. It took 10 mins to get coleslaw. It tasted old and sour. Our granddaughter order mini burgers (sliders). We found out later the evening the burger were burnt. The Server did not ask how we wanted them cooked. My ordered a salad with her meal (half a Chicken). The Server didn't ask what kind or let us know it would be a spinach salad. I had the Crap Cake sandwich. It was good but way overpriced at $29. Overall all 3 experiences were terrible. Something has happened to Matchbox post COVID. They need to get their act together. For sure I will not return.

I enjoyed brunch with a dear friend here, and it was a wonderful experience. Our server was kind and attentive; she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The establishment was clean, the ambiance was quiet, and the food was excellent.
This is the second time this month at MatchBox after 2 years of COVID. The food is questionable at best. Menu selection is limited. And the Service needs to be improved. We were there for a birthday (13 year old). Before we ordered we let the server know about the birthday and asked if she could bring a piece of cake after we had eaten and could she put a candle on it. The server agreed. We ordered calamari and the giant meatball as a appetizer. The meatball was good but the calamari was overdone and we had to send it back. Before we finished our dinner and before any plates were collected from the table a food runner showed up with the b-day cake. We asked if he could bring it back when we were finished. During the dinner I asked for another beer and a refill on a lemonade. I had to ask 2 more times for the beer and the lemonade never came. The beer came too late to enjoy. Then when the piece of cake came there was no candle. The server said they ran out of candles last week. REALLY! Also, the food runner brought the wrong order to the wrong table twice. This lack of expected service is either a manager problem or the staff is not being trained properly. I will not go back.

Fathers Day celebration
Normally we have a great experience at Matchbox, but this time wasn't the best. We initially had great service but after we received our food, the server was MIA. (We think it's because we didn't order another round of cocktails before the meal, but we could be wrong). He never checked on our order and never refilled our water glasses. The food was 'ok' - my BBQ Salmon salad was good, my husband's lump crab cakes were small and our daughter's Pesto Basil Pasta made her sick to her stomach. This experience won't keep us away from Matchbox, but it probably won't be the first place we think of the next time we want to eat away from home.
Came here on a weekday for brunch and it hit the spot. Everybody found things they wanted and it was all prepared just right.
Hadn’t been to matchbox in a long time. Mainly become our previous meals had just been OK. The sound of meals fantastic. It was close to being on price point but the beers are way overpriced. Better atmosphere. Glad I sat at the bar.
It was a great experience overall. The waiter Kevin is very nice and professional. Food was very good and drinks are great too! The hosts are not the most friendly ones.
