We had a phenomenal experience hosting our wedding welcoming party at Blackfinn in Ashburn. From the very first interaction, Izzy and the entire Blackfinn team were incredibly helpful and responsive. They worked with us to ensure we had a great amount of food and navigated a few different dietary restrictions to put together a menu we were really happy with. They made sure we had a great, separate area for our guests and made sure we were able to have a few speeches. The service was great all night. It was a great party thanks to Blackfinn!
After having a reservation for a specific group event (one that I closely organized with a staff member), none of our expectations were even remotely fulfilled. We did not receive the deals or accommodations that were discussed, & the restaurant did not even realize we were coming. I have emailed said staff member multiple times about what happened, and have not received a response. I was very disappointed in the customer service, and lack of attention to detail. Although the food was good, we will most definitely not be returning.
Dined here on 3/20 around 7:15pm upon entering the restaurant my child and I were seated right away by the hostess. After being seated at a nearly empty restaurant my toddler and I had to wait for 10 minutes for a waiter to come and take our drink/food order. After receiving our meal - I ordered the Chipotle steak fritters (which were the best part of this entire dining experience) and the kids flatbread for the toddler. I noticed the lack of attention given by our waiter. Throughout our dining experience I had to personally request for my waiter to come and service our table which is I'm pretty sure a part of their chosen job description. Each request I had throughout the night the waiter either forgot to bring items like my toddler drink refill, dessert (that was room temperature and brought over by another waiter -I could tell the item had been sitting for awhile). Or either there was a significant delay in the waiter adhering to my request. Unfortunately I observed the waiter catering more towards people that were of his same skin color- it appeared the tables he served with White people received his upmost attention and never had to go out their way to garner the waiter attention. I was highly disappointed in this dining experience due to the lack of professionalism on the waiters' part. My hope is that the General Manager of this establishment will ensure their employees are creating a memorable dining experience for all their guests no matter the individual's skin tone.

Flat bread pizza was the best. Alfredo was also very good and cheesey. The food wasn't to hot or cold. 10/10
Food was really good! Portions are big! My husband and I were able to split the bourbon burger and were both satisfied with the size and taste. My only complaint is that I wish there was a larger beer selection outside of IPAs, but I understand that those are really popular right now. If you love pubs, this is the place for you, especially if you are an IPA lover.
Tending staff demands a patron doubles the bill for tip amount. Apparently staff has charge of dictation of what service is provided and or prices. And apparently the staff continuously remind patrons of their disgruntled on their chosen employment. And “G_ _ _ “ (bartender) has the nerve when calling an individual out to engage about a “tip” amount, and refuses all future business at “$1000+ a month” . He must know where the bodies are buried. Ya he was engaged and of course backdown when he was “Tuned up” and instead of being a stand up individual to where he’s wrong he cowardly disengaged.
When I tell you, you NEED to try the chicken fried chicken!!! Get it, and add a side of the macaroni, and dip your potatoes into the cheese. Their macaroni is SOOO cheesy. I wish I could explore the rest of the menu, but I never want to rob myself of experiencing this dish again!! from: your friendly neighborhood fatty ?

Little disappointed with our order today. Pretty basic order, lemon chicken, fish tacos, and a kids meal, with some side Caesar salads. We ordered to-go so the family can eat comfortably in the house. Literally walk in and there is no one to greet you, no service at the bar. I finally walk over to where the to-go orders are and find my meal, confirm with a server that this was all of my order, and left. Sadly, when we arrive home, we find out the $20 “lemon chicken” meal had 1.5 oz of meat. The grilled chicken that came with my kids’ meal was triple the size of this portion…. There is no way that is an appropriate meal for a child, let alone an adult. On top of that, all Caesar salads both came with no salad dressing. I previously enjoyed going to the Blackfinn in Merrifield, but this will be my last time ordering here, sadly disappointing when you’re spending $50 on takeout. Hope Loudoun Station has some better serving restaurants soon…
