Eggcellent breakfast sandwich. Great coffee, too. It's a wonderful spot to boost your morning or unwind after work. The place is fairly modern and has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. Since it wasn't 5:00 yet, I got some cortado coffee and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. And boy, was it good. Freshly made, with fresh ingredients, one of the best I've had. Can't recommend enough!
Food was very average and packed with extreme amounts of garlic clove slices. Just incredible quantities of sliced garlic. On every single salty dish. The service was acceptable, except the young staff was still learning and there appeared to be no leader or manager in sight. According to neighborhood discussion threads, the food quality has been declining consistently. My previous visit a year ago was fine. But this visit was definitely not fine, unfortunately.
If given the choice between Starbucks and this little gem, support local businesses and this adorable café tucked into the office building. Sadly, it was fairly empty at 10:30 in the morning, clearly people in the area haven’t figured out this little hidden gem, but the atmosphere is clean and airy. The bartender/barista was super friendly. Service was very quick and the latte was delicious as well as the fresh baked spinach and feta croissant pastry. I’ll be back!
This is a very interesting and unique cafe, and they have all day breakfast sandwiches, which is what I had! I had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. Here they put a whole new twist on your typical breakfast sandwich by using a brioche bun (instead of English muffins, which seem to be used on most breakfast sandwiches), they add in some greens (never had greens on a breakfast sandwich either), Turkey sausage, cheese (not sure what kind, but was very good), and some kind of dressing or aioli sauce (again, not sure what kind exactly, but was also a great addition). I also had a cappuccino, which was pretty good as well, plus they had the raw brown sugar that I always love to use! I would describe this as a hybrid between a restaurant and a coffee shop or cafe, because they serve more than just coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and scones… they also serve lunch and dinner, beer, wine, cocktails, and more. The staff seemed nice as well. Lastly, this place has a very nice mural that was done by one of my favorite local mural artists, Miss Chelove. This place was a bit on the pricey side, but not too much. I definitely recommend giving it a try! I like the upscale and modern feel as well.
This is truly a really awesome cafe and great overall experience. I see all the 1 star reviews and I can’t really understand why their experience is so poor. I think people forget that this is a cafe - not a full on restaurant so people need to adjust their expectation. The flavor is great, the sandwiches are really yummy and the staff is super nice today. But I would appreciate letting us know about the 15% since we didn’t know and we tipped an additional 20%. Anyhow I will highly recommend it and will definitely come back
Came here for breakfast with my friend. We both ordered a breakfast sandwich and WOW was the portion huge!! I think both of us only ate half. Honestly I think if they make the sandwiches smaller but have it include a side, that would be more ideal. But no complaint, food was good and staff was very friendly and attentive. Would go back to try other items on the menu!

On Friday I decided to pop into the Freshman for lunch. The restaurant is nice, plenty of seating, lots of light, and not very crowded. The service was good. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich (fried) and the La Jefa cocktail. The cocktail was not good and tasted as if I was drinking liquid smoke. I do not recommend. Next up was the chicken sandwich, it looked good but the taste was underwhelming. Overall, the food was mediocre and there are better places nearby to grab lunch.
I want to preface this review by saying that I am in the service industry and have been for about seven years.
Food was fresh, hot chocolate was great, sangria was delish. I knew about the 15% fair wage fee they add to the check and was ok with it.
