General, I love the sweet Science Coffee. I was introduced to a friend in DC; ever since I’ve been hooked at least four times a week, I typically visit the Coffee shop in DC.The coffee tastes amazing, and the people are amicable. Then when I went to Arlington, VA, I had an unpleasant experience; the coffee did not taste the same, and the customer service was not that great. This is the 3rd time I’m experiencing it.The atmosphere does not excite me to visit again.Hope things, It will Be better soon!

This place rocks! This is one of my favorite shops period because they focus a lot on the techniques behind brewing, rather than just throwing good beans (but they do use good beans here). The espresso based drinks here are excellent--sometimes shops in this area tend to make something that has stronger milk flavors than coffee. The real highlight though is the pour overs here. They're experimental with their techniques and I promise you'll have a hard time finding this sort of stuff outside of a youtube video. The people running the shop are really friendly and love talking about coffee. The space itself is also quite cute.

Really enjoyed the seasonal drip coffee, an Ethiopian, this morning. One of the best drip coffees I’ve had; good enough to rival many shops’ pour overs.

The best coffee in Washington DC is also available in Arlington! It's great to have top-tier specialty coffee in Northern Virginia, finally. The coffee, usually a light roast, is delicious. And the food -- biscuits and cinnamon rolls especially -- is just as good. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable, and it's a great place to hang out and talk or get work done while the music plays lightly in the background. Make sure to stop in for a cup!

Haven't been here since the re-opening (re-branding?) but its great. They are the first place I've seen since East West at Rosslyn closed that serves espresso 'the italian way' i.e. w a shot of sparkling water & a small spoon to stir in sugar.

Nice place, friendly staff and some creative drinks they rotate. It's a cozy place to sit and chat.I've had a few of their drinks, both coffee and tea based, and they've all been well made.

The loveliest staff and some of the most delicious coffee we've had in a while! The shop is very cute and the jalapeño biscuit breakfast sandwich was out of this world - sweet, savory, and so filling.

Hurts me to say but I’ve got mixed feelings on my experience with Sweet Science. I visited due to the name more than anything else, but the products displayed for purchase pushed the desire further as it seemed as though they knew what they were doing. My espresso beverage was subpar for my expectations. I won’t say it was bad because it was ok, but for the price paid I wasn’t impressed.

As a regular, this is my favorite coffeeshop in Arlington* (it still has a lot of room for improvement). The coffee and food are top-tier; without a doubt it’s the best spot in town if that’s all you care for. The newer baristas aren’t quite as good as Charlie but they’re getting there. The baristas in general do a great job given they have to manage register, bar, and even kitchen at times. This means you might have to be a little patient for a drink.I think the atmosphere is okay. The decor and seating is spartan (not very comfortable) but gets the job done. The outdoor patio is nice when it’s warm, especially with the new ropes they put on the perimeter it feels like a proper space. I get that it’s a very small and limited space but it could be cozier. It’s not very inviting but I guess it’s a nice enough place to meet up and chat with friends or read a book.Speaking of inviting, that brings me to my main gripe with this place and what I perceive to be the greatest opportunity for improvement. The wifi is horrendous. DO NOT expect to come here and be able to get any meaningful work done! Your device gets a pitiful hour before being locked out for 6 hours. The speeds are okay during that window at least. To me, this epitomizes the message the store seems to convey: drink your coffee and get out. Again, I get that the space is small and it’s important to encourage people to leave so that new people have somewhere to sit. But even on weekdays and outside of peak hours this dumb rule applies. Maybe the owner doesn’t want people to do work at this shop, which is valid - it’s not a wework. But clearly they’re trying to extract as much profit from this place as possible given the skeleton crews they employ and cheap furnishings. I simply don’t understand why they’re not more generous with wifi. A 2 - 4 hour time limit would make more sense but 1 hour is just ridiculous. That’s an incredibly large competitive disadvantage I can’t wrap my head around. Thanks for reading!

Nice cafe ,Warm atmosphere with friendly service but the coffee wasn’t the best.
