The quality of this place went DOWN, and used to be PERFECT. The food, the customer service, the amount of food. Now the manager is doing the customer service and she is serving miserable portions, charging extra for sauce that was free, charging extra for side, depending on the side. The chicken that was their best, now is getting smaller and smaller and even the flavors change.
The food is really delicious, their chicken is not dry which i like.
Best Peruvian Chicken in the whole DC metropolitan area! We’ve been coming to eat their delicious charcoal grilled chicken for many years now. Great friendly staff and personnel. They’ve got quite few awesome sides to choose from. Try their yuca fries - I’ve never tasted better ones anywhere. We can’t have enough of it! We highly recommend this place both for locals and for DC area visitors. LOVE IT!!!
I walked in and stood there for 3 mins I peeked around and there’s a guy on the grill back there no mask, no gloves. Touching whatever it is he’s cooking with his bare hands!! Never coming back here
Ordered a half chicken, mashed potatoes, beans , and a side of onion tomato salad. If there’s one thing I can say about Super Pollo is they don’t skimp on portions. You really don’t know how big a half a chicken is until you get it. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. It’s perfect winter time comfort food.My only complaint was the onion tomato salad wasn’t great. It was just onions and tomatoes put into a cup. It didn’t seem to have any dressing or seasoning. It was bland.All in all it was an enjoyable meal and I will definitely eating here again!
I used to go here all the time when I lived a few blocks away - this was back in 2011 - 2012. Back then, the food was outstanding for what you paid. I recently visited a friend in the area, and Super Pollo was calling my name. It did not disappoint. Still tremendously delicious, and good quantity too for what you pay.
Favorite chicken spot! They do their chicken really well and what really pushes them over the edge for me are their sides. There’s a much bigger selection than Pollo Rico which I think is actually the more well know chicken spot in the area. But I’m a Super Pollo fan all the way!
