had high hopes for this place since it was well rated, but unfortunately it fell below expectations.the mix pupusas were overcooked and salty, the sauce was blahthe ladies in the kitchen and cash registers were rude and unfriendly
Good pupusas but you have to be patient because their kitchen is low some times
Balleadas are amazing
Everything I have tried at Sophia's has been amazing. Love the food and service. I go almost every week on my lunch break and my co workers love it too.
Wonderful place with great food from fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the Desayuno Centro Americano while waiting for a car repair. This is breakfast for people who work for a living.
I ordered two Sopa de Res because I was in a hurry to get to work. It took 25 minutes for the soups to be ready and they're were not even that good. Next time I'll just order pupisas. That's if I decide to give this place a second chance.
Great chicken and yuca. Highly recommend.
I ordered the tacos al carbon. They were pretty good. It took about 20 minutes for them to make them and bring them out. It’s definitely not a fast food or fast casual type place. The prices were good. I paid about $3 per taco.
The sauces are really something else, especially the white crema sauce! I got pork and cheese pupusas along with plantains and the Peruvian chicken. The only downside was that the chicken was a little dry, even right after coming home. Still giving it five stars because the sauces, pupusas, and curtido were excellent and fresh. They are also reasonably priced at $2.25 per pupusa as of this review (it’s seemingly difficult to get an idea of prices or menu items without physically going to the store since their online menu doesn’t have a lot of information). If I were to go again I would get two pork pupusas and plantains, more than enough for a hungry person!
The absolute best pupsas and authentic tacos! Always busy with the locals. Our go-to on the Pike.
