I’m quite curious on how people rate it 5 stars as I had higher expectations. Pros: Portions are good for what you get. Cons: The brisket was lacking in flavor , smokiness & was tougher than expected even though we got 2 big cuts from the fatty side. The ribs were okay but tasted as if they were a bit overcooked as they were on the dryer side. The Mac & cheese and beans were also missing flavor, cooker right but needed something. Lemonade seemed boxed and not fresh. Overall I cannot recommend.

Got a pulled pork sandwich for lunch yesterday to see how Sloppy Mama's pork sandwich compared to a recent other BBQ place I visited out in Ashburn while on a bike ride on the W&OD Trail.Wow!!! What an amazing BBQ pulled pork sandwich. The pork was smokey, moist and stacked almost two inches high on top of pickles and coleslaw on a fresh soft bun. Absolutely delicious-- the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. On top of that they had six different sauces to enjoy on the pork and they now offer beer and wine.Fabulous!!

Best BBQ ever!!! Left us speechless and even ordered to go food to take home to try more stuff on the menu. I left Texas 24 years ago and I've always been disappointed in VA BBQ. NOT ANY MORE! Brisket, ribs, pulled pork ....the side, I mean the potato salad was amazing. Banana pudding done just right. I love with this BBQ.

Stopped at Sloppy Mama's for lunch. You order at the counter, and they give you a pager for when your food is ready. The menu is a la carte. I had the brisket, pork, mac and cheese and beans. The food was very good and probably the best brisket I've had. My problem was with the cost. With a soda, my total was $27 with tax! I overheard the owner talking about the fact that he had to raise prices because of the price meat going up in the past year. I feel his pain, but the cost of a meal will prevent me from stopping here in the future. They have a sandwich combo ($15), but they need meal combos too.

The food is good. Not over smokey. I liked the tater tots. They have a fried chicken special. Clearly not their star but still decent fried chicken. It was moist. Brisket wasn't moist but I know there are two types of brisket moist and lean. Guess they serve lean brisket (not my favorite). The rib bits are good. Something fun for a party that isn't just more chicken wings.

Great meats full of flavor. The brisket and pulled pork are solid representations of BBQ. Cole slaw is a standard. The assortment of Kansas, Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama sauces ensure you can dress your bbq anyway you need

Poor. We ordered brisket and St. louis ribs, both tasted bland, the meat quality was low and they put no spices on them (I hope they didn’t think the bbq sauce was gonna hide this). We also ordered collard greens and they were kinda sugary and also tasted bland.

First time Ive eaten here, I randomly walked in and though it wasn't really a bad experience it will probably be the last time I order here. The sides are so overpriced, the sides are all a Le cart which wouldn't be so bad except they charge 2.50 for one piece of dry corn bread, the half chicken looked great for 10 however it was a bit undercooked and although it looks well seasoned it doesn't taste the part. The Mac and cheese was pretty good and the sauces they offer are amazing. If I did return it would only be to get some of the Georgia gold bbq sauce. Also a rack of ribs is $35, no sides included

This is a fantastic BBQ Joint. It is what I was looking for. I had the brisket with Mac and Cheese and Beans as sides, and it was great quality food. I will be back again for the Ribs and Chicken. I also got a Sloppy Mamas T-shirt, I have become a Fan!

Don't normally stop at BBQ places but drove by Sloppy Mama's and just had to turn around and give this BBQ place a try. So happy I did.
