Decent food for your work breakfast with quick service. The eggs and toast were good. Service was slow and it is upon request for jelly, napkins etc.

I've been a customer of this restaurant chain since 1995 (over 25 years) with over 761 visits (of the times I remembered my loyalty card) Will never eat here again, I meant to write 2 years ago but hated the idea of leaving a negative review. On Friday I ordered an order for pick up , it was breakfast--the sausage was so old, black on the inside and the outside looked as if it had been cooked 3 times over 3 days, it looked really bad, it tasted bad, I could not believe a cook would think it was acceptable to put this in a customer's order. With such poor lack of common sense --I felt like I could not trust anything that came out of this kitchen. I did call them up the Clarendon store to tell the manager and he told me they had problems with the supplier and asked me if he could get me something else. I ordered a side of fruit just to avoid someone in the kitchen filling my order. Then on Sunday I ordered from the Alexandria restaurant location (on King St) this store always has new servers with little experience, who are slow, the food is often cold. I ordered 2 sides of fruit which my daughter picked up at 8 am, the music was blasting high on a Sunday (is it to entertain the wait staff? its certainly not for your customers on Mother's Day at 8 am) We ordered the fruit cause we thought, they cant mess that up. Wrong, we got home and opened the 2 sides, there were 4 pieces of fruit in each container, they were half empty and charged me over $9 for 8 small cubes of fruit. Outrageous, I called the restaurant as it was too cold for me to drive all the way back, the lady put me on hold for 10 minutes, I gave up, why ruin my mothers day. then I tried later and asked for the manager , was on hold again for 15 minutes. At which point I hung up and vowed I will never eat at this store again. Used to eat here at least 3 times a week, you have lost my business. Too bad, this used to be a great restaurant with good food and good servers. So long I am done

Came in with three families 8 adults and 4 kids and we arrived at the same time as a bus full of highschool kids on a field trip. Service was great! That alone was worth 5 stars.Food came out hot and as ordered. We had everything from a traditional breakfast platter to vegan taco platter. No complaints and it was all delicious. Drinks stayed full and even gave us to go drinks.Prices are solid and portions are great

A good spot for traditional American breakfast. You will find the classic dinner entrees plus more gourmet options. First come first serve, notice that during the weekends you could be waiting in line a few minutes. Outside sitting is also available.

Came for dinner with my young child on a Saturday night. Left with no car. Definitely felt during our service like the management was staring at me from across the counter but didn't know why. Now I know. Guy is a slimeball who gets kickbacks for towing his own customers. I had a young child with me who left her jacket in the car. Never going back to this Silver Diner again. Arlington County should be ashamed of itself for allowing private owners such predatory and illegal tows. Was the most expensive $185 milkshake. Definitely not an ethical place to patronize.

Love this place! Great diner food, and awesome how late it is open. I love the milkshakes, especially the chocolate ones.

Loved the food. Those roasted vegetables were good. will be back

There must be some sort of collusion between Silver Diner and Advanced Towing because it was only 10 minutes before the tow truck came. The food is fine, but not worth the $185+ tow bill and time wasted with these scam artists.

We dined in at Sliver Diner recently for dinner and here’s how it went:Pros:Service was quick and friendly. I throughly enjoyed the overall vibe of the place as I generally like diners. We had a friendly waiter and he was nice. I got a milkshake for desert and that was a tasty one. I definitely liked it.Cons:The only flaw I see is over the food. I ordered the fish and chips and in which the fries were good but the fish had a weird texture to it which didn’t seem right for my liking. But overall, 4 out of 5 stars for Sliver Diner!

What an excellent experience. Classic old style diner, working jukebox at each table, and excellent updated modern food with some classics. If you stop in, ask for Mama D... she'll take care of you.
