First impression of the outside decor was amazing. Yellow Fiat being a mascot was great touch. That being said, their pizza was not as great as their decor. Margarita was OK. Truffle mushroom pizza was disappointing. Mushroom smelled old, and was very vinegary. and quite slimy. I could smell the truffle oil but it was probably touch too overpowering. Cream sauce was too salty IMO, making overall pizza very salty for creamy pizza. Maybe the pizza I chose wasn't their greatest menu but that particular pizza wasn't that good.
This place is an institution! The mushroom pizza is a sleeper, so sneakily delicious!
When you visit after moving 2000 miles away, it’s one of those places you get excited to visit. The sausage arancini has a wonderfully salty, crispy crust with a gooey center. It’s seriously hard to go wrong. The margherita pizza is simple and delicious. The onion tart pizza is surprisingly sweet and savory with the caramelized onions and bacon atop a tender crust and Gruyère cheese.
This is some of the best pizza I've ever tasted! It was hot and fresh, everything from the crust to the cheese to the sauce was amazing! I had the Margherita DOC. Staff was very welcoming and friendly as well. Definitely with the price though and I will be going back to try other pizzas and their Gelato. Highly recommend if you're in the area or looking for good pizza!
Don’t expect much from the decor or atmosphere - but the pizza was awesome. Had the eggplant parmesan which was great, and the mushroom which was not my fave, but here’s to trying something new!
It’s a small place and the parking lot is small, we parked in Safeway and ate there. The pizza is really good. We got the margherita pizza and the eggplant parm pizza. The eggplant parm would have been really good if mozzarella cheese was added
Let’s start by clarifying that this pizzeria specializes in Neapolitan pizza. A lot of people complain that their pizzas are too soft but Neapolitan pizza are supposed to be thin and soft… if you are looking for thin but sturdy, you want NY style pizza so don’t bother with coming here because unsurprisingly you will be disappointed. We got the Diavola Pizza and the Capricciosa Pizza. Absolutely loved the Diavola. Flavor was on point and so was the overall cook of the pizza. The Capricciosa pizza wasn’t impressive and was borderline soggy. Wouldn’t get that again. So I suspect the simpler pizzas with less toppings / drier toppings might taste better here and the more toppings esp wetter toppings might make the pizza softer / soggy. I’d have to go back and try other flavors to see if that’s true but with how good Diavola turned out, I would go back and give other pizzas a shot when I’m craving Neapolitan pizza. Also, super friendly staff and it’s cool you get to watch them make the pizzas real time on the TV in the dining room!
Good pizza, but less than acceptable customer service. Do not use Uber Eats app to order for self pick-up. They charged my credit card, but didn't confirm the order or have it ready when I got there. There was a misunderstanding between me and the staff about waiting for the order after I got there - they refunded my card, but never told me. I kept waiting for another 20 minutes thinking that they would make it. Good food, but poor customer service...even at 5 PM on a Thursday afternoon when they weren't even busy.
Looking for Neapolitan pizza? You will find it here. Thin crust, slightly charred, baked in stone oven. You can see the life feed of the pizzaiolos stretching the dough while you wait, which is not that much, 10 mins. The place offers lots of options for pizza based on 2 sauces: red & white. This time we tried the calabrese and spinach, respectively. The service is fast and good. I see myself returning for more pizza here.
Not sure what happened to this location since before COVID when I'd last been in. The pizzas just aren't as good. I had the meatball one and it was decent. The meatballs themselves were homemade and delish. My partner had the pepperoni and it was super soggy and greasy—would have made him sick to eat it. Pizzas with such thin dough can't hold so many greasy pepperonis and we figured this place of any would understand that. He ordered a panini instead and it took about 20 minutes to come out but was doughy. People at the table next to us ordered one of the street food appetizers and it looked burnt; they complained amongst themselves but didn't say anything to the waitress. I had hyped it up so much and we were very disappointed. Sad to take it off my list. It really was the best pizza around. Also, unrelated to the food, it's freezing in there if you are planning to eat inside on a cold day.
