Excellent service. Canât wait to go back.
We took a friend for a special birthday and everything from the meal, the ambiance, the wonderful birthday song and dessert for our friend to the service was outstanding! In particular the food is consistently outstanding. ODN is a true gem in Shirlington!
Lovely food and service. The owner always walks around and makes sure to greet and converse with every table.
I was a bit disappointed that Nino did not have my favorite Roman artichokes. They are having a tough time importing them from Italy. Everything else was great and he recommended a superb Aglianico wine.
An absolute must for homemade Italian cuisine in a restaurant where you feel like family.
The food and service were exceptional! I had the crab, squid ink pasta special and the eggplant parmigiana. The special was definitely special with a lot of crab in a flavorful sauce and the pasta was nothing shot of fabulous! The eggplant parmigiana was also excellent with a delicious, flavorful sauce and fabulous fresh pasta! I would of like more sauce on the eggplant, but that is easily fixed. We are looking forward to our next visit!!!
Osteria da Nino is the finest Italian restaurant I have found in several states since returning from living in Italy for more than twenty years. Presentations are beautiful and the food is authentic. This is the most important attribute. Nino is charming and dedicated to making each diner's experience a special event. His wife is the kitchen's master chef, who supervises all menu preparations and makes certain that special needs and desires of clients are met. The wait staff is friendly, competent and attentive, yet does not hover over tables. Nino is charming and makes sure each diner's experience is a special event. The wine list is extensive and excellent.
Osteria da Nino is one of our favorite restaurants. Last night was our best visit ever. Our server was Holz who as a delight: every knowledgeable about the food, wine, and Italy. Attentive without being a nuisance. The chicken piccata was delicious and generous, as was the rigatoni carbonara. Signor Nino, the owner, is friendly and comes by to check in with customers at each table. My only wish for change is the music. We are in this lovely Italian restaurant and the backdrop is rap and rock music. Really? It doesn't have to be the Three Tenors but Michael Buble or Harry Connick, Jr. would be much more suitable. Regardless, we'll be back soon.
First time visiting and will definitely come back. Very knowledgeable staff in a friendly atmosphere where you feel like family. The food and wine were excellent and you are comfortable trying new things because you know they will be good.
I felt very rush to order. Service was average because restaurant was very busy.
