Very tasty as I recalled from years ago. The shrimp were a bit overcooked, but still very tasty.
All their dishes are surprisingly good. I have tried most of the stuff here because I live nearby and I’m Vietnamese. Really didn’t expect such a great and authentic Vietnamese restaurant in this neighborhood. Also, service is great, fast, and professional.
Amazinggggg if I could come here once a week I literally would but I make the drive from Maryland as often as I can!! This is absolutely one of the best pho places and I’ve been going since 2019!!! The broth is incredible. The chicken pho is my fave. The rolls are to die for. Everything is incredible perfecttt portions and the noodles are always perfect. I will never stop coming here. Amaaaaaaaazing. So glad my sister Taja Iglesias put me on to this incredible spot so long ago. They never fail to impress and I even came here for my birthday !!
I always leave satisfied. If I'm in the area I will stop for some delicious spring rolls, hearty pho, and a hot toddy. Nothing ordered has disappointed. The service and ambiance is perfect for a dinner date or family night.

Amazing Pho! Flavorful broth, shaved carrot slices ( I don’t like when they’re chunky), broccoli was cooked long enough to get soft but still firm, attentive servers, and wait time is short. The restaurant is clean and quiet. Overall positive experience.10/10 highly recommend.

Maybe chef's day off. Ribs like tough old mule. Replaced with carmelized chicken. Just fair-- a bit tough also. Staff obviously not happy with me. Ignored me for a long time.
This was my first visit to Nam Viet, and LOVED it!! The crispy spring rolls were filled with meat, and the Nuoc Mam sauce that comes with them is so good that I literally drank what was left in the bowl!! I had the Hoanh Thanh (Wonton) Soup, which was outstanding. There was so much, that I brought enough home for another large meal. Others in our party had the Pho Ga (chicken Pho), the Grilled Beef Skewers, and the Vietnamese Crepe. All were outstanding. Service was attentive, but not smothering. I would go back in a heartbeat!!
Nam-Viet is the best and most authentic Vietnamese culinary experience that you can get in the DMV. I am sorry to see that it has been hit hard by Covid but this place is an institution and I thank the family for continuing operations during these hard times. Please help support this icon of the community as the area around it may change but this restaurant is timeless and should be kept the way it is. The Nam Viet noodles are the absolute best noodle dish I have ever had and I dare you to find crunchier spring rolls anywhere. You cannot go wrong on this menu, it just depends on how adventurous you want to be. They hold nothing back and I applaud them for it. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could.
