I agree with the other comments below about the EXTREMELY RUDE WOMAN at the counter. My young daughter only wanted a small portion of rice, chicken and cheese in her arepa and the woman kept yelling me "NO! Rice is ONLY for a bowl." She then told the cashier to charge me a $1.00 for a small spoon of rice. Not a professional way to treat your customers. Quite possibly the worst no customer service ever!
Food was just ok. Ingredients were good but it was tough to get the j gradients that you want because there was an exceptionally rude woman working that only have half a spoonful of everything and ignored any requests for more of anything. At the end I asked if I could please have more beans and corn and she said “no you have to tel me at the beginning and we charge for it anyway”.
Same experience as a number of other people have stated. Rude female worker who first asked me to step aside in the middle of my order because I was looking for some detail (i.e. taking too much time, I guess) to take another person’s order. And then told me rudely that we don’t change anything in the orders when I said to keep some stuff off (NOT ADD) for my kids orders. Good food but awful staff!
Food is decent but be careful of the super rude lady at the counter. She is just terrible.
Excellent service. Very catering to first time customers, and the food always looks fresh
I love this spot since it has opened. I enjoy getting the empanadas and shrimp tacos! They have a amazing sides as well. Arepa balls are a must!
I looooove Hot Lola's but wanted to branch out. I'm soooooo glad that I did! Husband had a ramen bowl, friend had bbq, but my salad bowl was the envy of the table. This place is like a Latin Cava. Forget chipotle or qdoba the variety and quality of toppings is unparalleled. Plantains? Pickled onions? Lentils? Yeah. And a sweet little arepa crust for carb satisfaction. I'm in love and coming back soon.

Food is decent, but about 50% of the staff are consistently rude to customers without provocation, and they do not honor the prices advertised in their specials
What an amazing experience. I felt bad asking to put EVERYTHING on my arepa, but the staff were friendly and did their job enthusiastically and we shared a good laugh. The food itself was an amazing combination and was a taste explosion. I then wanted an empanada, I felt like it would be like anything else, yet it was almost FILLED! Will definitely be coming back!
