Not a very good experience! Not only the food was horribly expensive, the shawerma sandwich that we ordered was very dry and bread was crispy. No sauce was given or offered with sandwich. You couldn't even hold the sandwich without it falling all apart. The staff were a machine, did not even ask if we wanted anything else and dry in the order process.
Had the chicken shawarma wrap. It was almost inedible. Just very dry plain chicken with lettuce and tomato. No sause or natural juice. Very disappointed. Only way to eat it was to go to another restaurant and get some salsa.
Had the Chicken (sodium) SandwichFelt like I ate a salt lick! Nough said?

The chicken shawarma was dry and hard. The white sauce had an extremely strong garlic taste almost as if extract was poured into it. The food was inedible and left a bad taste in my mouth even after my five hour flight.
I should have checked Google before ordering. I just paid $10.53 for objectively the worst chicken shawarma sandwich of my life. But I was hungry.I believe they had 8 employees behind the counter but oddly couldn’t provide credible service. The sign that says Order Here, isn’t where you order.Poorly run. Bad food. Poor service. Captive customer base at the airport so they survive.
Good food, horrendous service! This was the only healthy option available at the concourse, so we had no choice. The falafel morning pitta was delicious and very fresh. The staff, however, were an absolute mess. Shouting at each other in the kitchen area, not understanding what needed to go in which order. COMPLETE CHAOS AND CONFUSION! Something that should have taken them less than 5 minutes to do, kept us waiting a good 15... I thought America knew how do to fast food, clearly not at this place!
It costs 9 dollar for me to get a black tea. I cannot believe that 'express breakfast' only includes a cup of black tea. Trust me. Do not go to this restaurant. The pita is the worst.
Got to Washington National Airport hours before my flight yesterday, so I looked at the lunch choices at the American Airlines gate area in terminal B. Decided on Lebanese Taverna Express. What a good choice. Got the mezza platter which consisted of falafel, stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus and pita bread. It was all delicious. Best hummus that I've ever had, so smooth with a few garbanzo beans on top. Everything is prepared as take-out because they don't have their own seating area. They also have in-town restaurants in Wash DC/Virginia/Maryland.
