Part of upscale food court with self ordering kiosks. Chicken comes breaded and fried with differing levels of spiciness. There's a chart explaining the levels. You can order chicken sandwich, tenders or drumsticks. Level 2 spiciness is flavorful and not spicy at all. Plenty of seating indoor.
Really good chicken sandwich. And the waffle fries were also great. Good size portions and not too greasy. Overall great experience. Highly recommended.
super delicious crispy, crunchy chicken. the OG seasoning is my fave, but it makes my nose run. don't miss out on the waffle fries and pickles! so good.
Your search for THE chicken (thigh) sandwich is over. This is THE place. Don’t look further but go easy on spice level (I order either not spicy or shy guy if I’m feeling super bold). The coleslaw that comes with the sandwich is good, the fries are amazing. The yum yum sauce that comes with the fries takes you to cloud nine. Don’t miss out and order already!
Hot Lola’s has the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever tasted so far. The chicken is so tender, and coating is super crispy!! I always go for Hot boy spice level, but you can absolutely try their famous flipping hot!! I have been to this place three times in a row, it’s that good!! Would highly recommend if you are a fried chicken lover!
Imagine the best spicy chicken sandwich you possibly can. This is better. I recommend OG hot level for a kick in the mouth. Flavor wise this delivers at any spice level though. Marinated chicken, combined with piping hot super crispy crunchy outside is just amazing. The spicy seasoning mixes with the small amount of oil on the outside of the chicken and gives your mouth a smackdown of deliciousness. Hot Lola's is best the reason to go to Ballston Quarter mall. *mic drop* Fries are good too.
The food is fresh but you have to wait for a while…about a full 20 minutes. We ordered the chicken sandwich meal and a 3 piece drumsticks. The flavor is not something I’m used to (definitely different than your normal fried chicken flavor). One good thing about it is that you just order from a couple of kiosks with no person trying to sell you anything else.
Went here today and when I say this place was amazing! Perfect spice level. I got the Shy Guy because I can't really eat too spicy. It was perfect. The fries were great as well.

Tried a chicken sandwich at the Navy Yard pop-up and found it to be disappointing (which is surprising; Himitsu by Kevin Tien was probably the best restaurant I've ever been to). The chicken was prepared amazingly well, but the accoutrements (bun, toppings, and sauce) were fairly flavorless.
