This Is A Vegetarian ReviewExcellent Mexican restaurant! The food was delicious, the staff super friendly, and the ambiance delightful. The complimentary salsa was absolutely delicious, as was the queso! The filling in my wife's veggie chimichanga was more flavorful than veggie filling is at most places. I got the cheese and potato tacos and a side of rice and beans and there was flavor everywhere! Highly recommended if you're craving good Mexican in the DMV.
I live in the area and this was first time I checked out this Mexican restaurant. Concise review - great service, nice vibe inside, and good, but not great food. The staff were very accommodating and friendly during lunch service. My date and I felt a good customer service experience. Vibe - I’m going to call it rustic artistic! Their are colorful paintings inside the restaurant and lived-in seating. It’s a chill vibe. Lighting could be a bit more even spread out, but it’s not like you can not see inside. Bathroom- it was clean, but yeah broken sink. You can still wash your hands, but it limits the experience not having hot water. Food - we order tacos. They were decent overall. I did like how you can mix up your three selections and tasty sides - rice and beans. Not the best tacos I’ve ever had, but yeah a bit simple in favor profile (taste, texture and garnish). Great free mild spicy salsa and chips though!
Threadbare decor and dirty. Food not great either. Not sure I was in the same place that received the Tripadvisor reviews!
Ate dinner here on a Friday night. Tasty! I had the carne asada, which is my go to meal at Mexican restaurants. This may have been the best I've ever had. The flavoring they used on the meat was wonderfully delicious. One complaint - personal taste, really - are the chips. They are the thin style that to me are like paper. That probably doesn't make sense, but it's the type you come across in certain Mexican restaurants and I'm not a fan. Staff was nice and very attentive. Fun, pleasant vibe in the restaurant. Recommended!
Had dinner with a friend last night on his birthday and spent much of the evening talking about how amazing the meal was. Started with a pitcher of Agaveritas- their prize-winning margarita- so good! I ordered Enchiladas del Calabaza (butternut squash filled!) and my friend had the RCPB- the Red Chili Pork Burrito- holy cow did the sound and look amazing- all the rage with the carnivores. What can I say- we slowly enjoyed every bite - from the delicate and tasty rice to the rich, delicious mole. Even the pre-game chips and salsa were special. And the service? Incredible! So attentive. So friendly and courteous. No doubt we will be back with our families as soon as possible. Oh- we are pretty healthy (like we eat a lot!) eaters and we both still left with containers of leftovers for lunch today- can’t wait!
Absolutely Wonderful Mexican Restaurant!! The food & margaritas are AMAZING! The service is fantastic. Very consistenly good food. If you like heat, ask for the habanero sauce...use sparingly! Even my DC friends will cross the Potomac to come here! Really really good.
I went yesterday and they had plenty of outside seating! The drinks were DELICIOUS, the prices were affordable and the food was great! I loved it and will definitely be back!
I would stack the food here against the best Mexican restaurants in DC. The quality is amazing, the plating and flavors are beyond compare. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
Food here is so good. I'm new to the area and I'm from California, I have had trouble finding good spots for Latino dishes but this is the place. Great food and good sized portions. Good service too.
