We were staying nearby at Crystal city and fancied some Italian food This place was highly rated So we thought “ great!” On arrival the place was busy ( usually a good sign) I asked for an Italian mixed ham and cheese platter with olives and artichokes When it arrived shocked doesn’t cover it The ham was processed, no prosciutto here The cheese was the slices you put into burgers No artichokes , I asked and the sullen waitress brought a tea spoon full of grey sludge 3 olives The main course pizzas were similarly awful As said the place had a decent crowd in so maybe it was just an off night But from a British Italian food lover I wouldn’t go back if you paid me Gave 2 stars as it was crowded and the decor was nice
Great food! The crab stuffed shrimp was amazing! The minestrone was one of the best I have ever had! The calamari was good but it needed to be cooked just a little more
High price for a low quality, as you can see in the pictures, lettuce is almost white, balsamic looks like a gel. Tomato's barely red, flavor was not good, salmon was mediocre, tiramisu was good.
We will never stop talking about the amazing staff and food at Federico’s! I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! Since the minute we walked in everyone was welcoming and they made us feel right at home. Eating out with 2 kids under 3 is sometimes really stressful but they made sure we didn’t worry about that one bit, they treated all of my girls like princesses! If all of this wasn’t enough, the food was to die for! One of our favorite stops during our trip to DC was definitely visiting Federico’s! My 11 year old can’t stop talking about them. Highly highly recommend!
Very disappointed in brunch. The mimosa and cannoli were the only good things. The chicken Angelica was soggy and over cooked, maybe leftover from last night. The sauce had no flavor. The bruschetta was sad Texas toast with a handful of tomatoes. The cheese sticks were soggy. I was really looking forward to this place, but it was a bust. The server was nice and welcoming. Hubbs got the frittata with sausage and it had no sausage. The bread was stale and chewy. We were only one of three tables. I'm disappointed because the food didn't taste freshly made.
As we were walking bye, the owner invited us in and told us that his food was much better than the restaurant across the street. Our service began on a great note, then we were brought our food. Rubbery chicken, soft mushy eggplant, arouse salads, and frozen bread. We had three glasses of wine, four entres, three coffees, and two desserts that were underwhelming at best. Our bill, which was where our table was forgotten, was $185.00! If the food had been fabulous, the bill would have been fine, but for mediocre pasta and Picatta, it was too much!
Ville Palmer The food was delicious with garlic bread , salad , have some dessert. Have some decaf coffee. Espresso.Real friendly staff very courtesy. I recommend everyone to come here for food. Very nice atmosphere. Listen to Dean Martin.
Service was good but the food was pretty bad. Had a salad (because we've been to Italy a few times, I cook homemade pasta as well, so I feared theirs wasn't going to be good) and my wife had some pasta. We were both disappointed and switched plates half way through and felt the same about each other's dishes. I think Olive Garden is better and we haven't been going there for a decade now.
Three of us had a lovely dinner. The ravioli with artichoke and goat cheese is fabulous! I also enjoyed the flan for dessert.
We had wonderful service here! The food was delicious and the ambiance was just great. I did not feel rushed to finish my food at all and everything about my experience at this restaurant was fantastic. Definitely on my list for the next time I'm in town.
