Food was delicious, staff was friendly, and everything was super affordable. Only downside was the layout and cleanliness. It was organized chaos trying to get and keep a table secured (8 of us) and it wasn't sparkling clean. To be fair, it was completely packed and they still managed to have our food ready pretty quickly. Either way, I'd go back next time I'm in town.
First time I visited 2008 the Chicken was good. Today in 2022 the taste has decreased a lot Costumer service is very rude. I don’t spend money here no more.

This place used to be a very nice one. It's quality and service. Our last purchase was terrible, they whole chicken was missing a leg and it seemed as if it was pulled or recycle from another order. I tried to contact their manager but no answer, left a few messages and no response either.Regarding the flavor and preparation, it seems as if they have change their recipe. Now in days you can taste mostly cumin.The staff has a very unfriendly and unhappy attitude when making orders.The cleanliness of the restaurant is also a bit questionable, the tables are always dirty and the kitchen staff do not wear protective nets for their hair while handling food, their cooking oil seems to have been their for a very long time which could cause sicknesses.I had rated this restaurant as a 5 star ? before, but making a new rating due to the changes that are very noticeable.I do not recommend this place. There are other restaurants that have a more friendly Staff, clean restaurant, and where the flavor is nor compromised.
Hit the craving spot!! Definitely need more sauce, the plastic things are very small. Fries were fine. Beans were okay. But that chicken was perfectly moist and flavorful. Service was quick! With there was Yucca.
There is really only one thing to say about this family owned Peruvian chicken restaurant. The best in the entire metro area hands down not even a close second. I have been eating lunch there for over 12 years and never had a bad experience. The prices are great service fast and food amazing.
Still my favorite Peruvian chicken restaurant in DC. The chicken is moist and has a nice peppery flavor. Like others, I wish they had other side options like yucca, but I will keep coming regardless.
Great rotisserie Peruvian chicken! ZERO ambiance, but the food has been stellar for decades! Prices are pretty much in line with all other Peruvian chicken places. Never had a bad meal from Pollo Rico.
Their roasted chicken is really tasty. I usually get the whole chicken + 2 sides (fries and beans are my favorites) combo, a really good deal (although the sides portions are not very generous, and I wished the added mashed potatoes as an option). All in all, not the fanciest play to dine in, but a very solid option for a takeout lunch or dinner at a reasonable price.
Juicy chicken, good flavor good. The green sauce needs to be more spicy. Also clean tables and bathrooms.
