Best pure sports bar in the area. This is a sports bar, and while that characterization may seem limiting, it is very good at what it does. While all restaurants have service challenges these days, the host is welcoming and the servers pleasant and helpful. It's bar food, and not bargain priced; although the Taco Tuesday $10 taco plates with a choice of fillings are a very good deal. Tuesday evenings also include a very competitive Trivia Night with the best prizes in town. Every night, there are TVs everywhere and if the game you want to see is not one on of the many screens, just ask and they will put it on for you. Reservations are taken through Open Table, although this place is huge and there is usually a spot open somewhere.
We donât understand why Taco Tuesday is now only after 7pm. Weâd appreciate if it could be before 7pm like it always has been. Air conditioning also seems to not be working
My work team came here for a celebration. Reservations were easy to make and we got tables outside on the street level covered patio. Emilio was our server and did an amazing job taking care of us. Everyone seemed pleased with the food and drinks they ordered. Bryan also did a great job bussing our tables. Would definitely come again for another get together and/or happy hour!
Came here to try this place out because it seemed nice because of the reviews. I sat down and asked what was popular here, the bartender with the beard threw the menu at me and said take a look at it yourself. Felt he did not want to serve me, I felt like as if I just got profiled. I tried to grab his attention to order, he hid in the corner, then went to the back. Did not acknowledge me afterwards.I ordered with another bartender and he gave me their most popular drink. Waited for the second round but seeing that other customers were getting serviced and I was being ignored. I waited for the bartender that first served me and got my check, left the place. Seeing that I was not welcomed here for some reason, I did them a favor and escorted myself out of the restaurant. I do not want to start my night out at a restaurant where i am not welcomed because of the way I look.
Stopped in July 4th weekend. Walking distance to Hilton. Huge sports bar (and rooftop). Clean, comfortable booths. $7 domestic drafts. Decent bar food. Staff is friendly. A bit pricey. Killer mudslide milkshake.
Food and drinks were great but service was terrible. If your waiter is the big guy with tattoos wearing a child’s medium just turn around and leave because he’s useless. He just talks to coworkers and plays on his phone the whole time while everybody else works. We were there for an hour and had to ask another waiter for refills on drinks and to go box because he never came back.
I lead a Trivia team that has been playing at Dudley's every Tuesday for over a year. We have a preferred table and, along with a couple of other teams, arranged to reserve our preferred table every week with Snake, the regular Tuesday host. Tonight, I arrived at 6:05 to find our table occupied. Snake was not present and someone who identified himself as Mike was filling in. He flatly refused to honor our reservation and asked who we made it with. When I told him that we had reserved the table for multiple weeks through Snake, He responded, "Snake is Snake." He then proceeded to belittle me, in front of a teammate and others for wanting the table I reserved. Before turning nasty, he asked if opening the (adjacent) back room would solve the problem. I said it would but he never did it - so I, and most of my team, left. Two weeks earlier, another staff member berated me loudly in the middle of the restaurant for moving a chair to accomodate my companion, on crutches with a broken ankle - stopping only when, matching her volume, I said "I am a customer here and you need to stop harassing me." I get that staff is hard to come by in the restaurant business these days, and I sympathize, but as much as I love the Tuesday Trivia and all the televised sporting events, I can not continue to go to a restaurant where I expect to be abused.
I honestly think this place is one of the cooler sports bars I've been to in the area. The vibe is always really great on game days and the location is too, albeit a bit short on parking at times. The food is pretty typical sports bar food. It's rather expensive as is expected inside the beltway, but the portion sizes are solid unlike its competitors. Food quality is great on some stuff and average on others, but if you know what to get you're in good hands.Service can be very slow and make mistakes if the place is packed so plan accordingly. It's normal when there's a ton of people ordering at once and they're human, so no sweat, but just be prepared.Long story short, this is a great gathering place on game days with a unique vibe, with decent enough food and portions to share. Yeah, it's not perfect, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.I just wish there weren't so many Penn State fans, though I'll be damned if the vibe isn't electric on PSU game days lol
The only reason I'm giving them a 3 is because of those gold rush wings and our server. The wings were crispy and that sauce was delicious. The drinks were not good (the orange crush and the peach margarita adult pouch)and if you like seeing bugs crawling around and on you this is the place to go.
We had an great experience for Mothers Day
