This place has a good atmosphere with the bar and outdoor patio. The service was great and we were seated promptly. The server checked in on us frequently which is impressive for a busy night. 3 stars because our southwest tots appetizer contained a 1 inch shard of glass that I almost swallowed before I noticed the sharpness. We notified staff, but since the manager was not present, we had to negotiate possibility of a refund. Fortunately our order was refunded. Nice gesture but after that unsavory end to the evening, it’s not worth going back.
The food was great! We came for trivia and it's all done through an app which wasn't really what we were looking for personally, the hostess told us we could play trivia from outside and then they didn't turn on the loudspeaker- if you're specifically looking to play trivia I'd try somewhere else, otherwise it's p cool. Parking is paid street only though which is a knock.
Fish and chips was a bit greasy. Schnitzel was very good. Portions are large and ample for a big eater. Service was excellent!
I really enjoyed Courthaus Social. I went with a few friends. The tap list is good and the food was solid (love the tater tots). What made me give it 5 stars was the staff (friendly) and the atmosphere (chill and not too loud). A great place for beers.
This was the best salmon I’ve EVER eaten. And that really says something because I eat salmon on a regular basis. The broccolini and mashed potatoes were really great, too. I usually don’t eat an entire plate at restaurants (I get full easily) but I finished this entire plate on my own.
I give it two thumbs up. phenomenal beer list. amazing food.
Come out to Courthaus for a great happy hour and stay for a meal! One of my friends is the new manager of this restaurant and while it seemed to always be packed on Friday nights, there are plans to expand the current space and focus the menu; so definitely keep an eye on this growing business. My husband and I came out for happy hour and dinner and we were not disappointed. The place was pretty busy as usual, but we were able to get a seat at the bar. The beer menu is diverse enough to meet most palate preferences. I prefer porters and stouts; so that is what we tried. They serve local craft brews in addition to national level brands. They also have a full bar to please any cocktail lovers. We ordered the social nachos to start and then a French dip and spicy chicken sandwich for our meal. All the food was delicious and portions were large enough that you are definitely not leaving there hungry. The staff are really personable and we had a great conversation while sampling Chacho, a jalapeno flavored aguardiente...also a product of a local distiller in DC. We'll definitely be back...can't wait to see what the future indoor and outdoor expansion brings. Thanks for great evening! :-)
Great patio, especially when it snows! I'd like to see a few more beers rotate in and out. They have the volume to be able to get some hammers in there! Exactly like the Founders CBS on nitro I had.
We happened to show up for dinner after a local event had just ended and the place was extremely busy. We got lucky enough to find a table pretty quickly. Our waitress (Hailey) was very attentive to us and all of her other tables. The food came out quick and was delicious. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back the next time we're visiting DC.
Good beer selection, but the food was a miss. I had the courthaus burger / medium, but it was under cooked. The middle was an little too pink/red as if it was frozen beforehand. The burger was audio extremely dry, which makes me think it was frozen. I also tried the Cinnamon roll which rotates monthly, but also extremely dry.Maybe the snack foods and beer are a better option, but overall not great.
