Already love this place. They have the best sandwiches 100%. But what makes this place even better is how they treat their customers. We had a little mess up on an online order with them being out of ingredients for one sandwich. They immediately called us to tell us we could either cancel the order or get something else. We decided to cancel the order. However I never got a refund and just called to see if they could do so. The manager we spoke to, Lawrence, was absolutely amazing. He not only apologize profusely but decided to make our sandwiches asap for us. He gave us some freebies as well as an apology as well. We were very appreciative of the way they treated the situation. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
My daughter and I are in town for a few days and went looking for a local sandwich shop. We walked into this place, completely on a whim, and had a wonderful conversation with Lawrence, the General Manager (super friendly guy). I got the Classic Italian and my daughter got the Classic Cheesesteak. Both sandwiches were AMAZING!!! We will definitely be going back before we leave town. Highly recommend.
overpriced and understaffed. I have been twice. The people there are very nice, but they are way understaffed. Typical wait time for 1 sandwich is over 20 mins. And that is with very few people in line/waiting. And yet after waiting 20+ mins the steak and chees came out cold and minimal meat. Plenty of other sandwich places nearby that are significantly less expensive while providing more substance and quicker service.
Nice folks, but disappointing sub! I went in (to a SANDWICH shop! This is what they DO!) and asked if they could put together a vegetarian sub for me. I didn't particularly want the plant-based meats, so I said "everything else; cheese, veggies, whatever; as long as it's vegetarian." The sub I opened once I got to work was: A big loaf of very white bread, lots of lettuce, meager tomatoes and a sprinkling of onions. In other words, NO cheese, pickles, olives, bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, cukes, etc. Basically bread and lettuce, with mayo and pepper sauce. Sorry, for $12+, that's not satisfying.
Wait was long. They need more than just 2 employees working on a weekend. Thought for the cost should have been better. Employees were very nice. Sandwiches were very good.
First experience was great. Second one…. Not so much. They forgot a food item that i paid for and then i called the store to get a refund or replacement. Some guy picks up the phone, very short with me, and then says hes going to get a manager. Waited almost 10minutes on the phone on hold. Eventually i just gave up and hung up. I want my money back :(
Ordered via Uber Eats. Got a roast beef sandwich and the lettuce on the sub was wilted, brown and slimy.Ordered a salad too and asked for salami. Got ham when it was delivered. The ham had a weird medicine smell to it. Didn’t eat it at all.
I ordered from this location via Grubhub. Ordered a Medium Impossible Cheese Steak Sub, Medium Dr. Pepper, and chips. The driver got to me before the estimated time of delivery, so that was good, and I did get it at a discount, which is always good. The Medium sub turned out to be pretty big but bland and the chips were the normal delivery chips. The Medium Dr. Pepper kind of looked big till I realized it was half ice.So it was good and kind of cheap after the discounts. But still have to take a star away for the lame chips, large but forgettable sub, and the Medium Dr. Pepper that looked large and turned out to be half ice. So it ended up being more like a small Dr. Pepper. Not bad but not worth five stars.
I’ve been talking up Capriotti’s for years, but I’m not going to be recommending them anymore, at least not the Rosslyn location. The last few times we’ve gone, our orders have been messed up in some way, and since we took the food home and live about 15 minutes’ drive from there, it just wasn’t worth driving all the way back to maybe get them corrected.Last time, our cheesesteaks were fine, but not as good as they used to be (and far more expensive!). We also got Bobbies to eat the next day, and so specifically asked for cranberry on the side and NO mayo. But when we opened them, they were soggy with cranberry and mayo, and the turkey just wasn’t as good as before. Now tonight, my cheesesteak was fine, not great, but fine. My husband ordered a cheesesteak with onions, sweet and hot peppers, and NO mushrooms, but got a CHICKEN cheesesteak WITH mushrooms, NO onions or peppers. It’s like they tried to do the opposite of what he wanted!I tipped in cash rather than writing it on the credit card receipt, and now I wonder if that’s the problem (the guy didn’t see me put the tip in the jar). In any case, I won’t be telling people to go there anymore, and likely won’t return either. I’m really bummed that a place that used to be fantastic has gone so far downhill.
Management deserves recognition for excellence in conflict resolution. GM in particular. Don't know his name but he has dreadlochs and seems to be here from open to close.
