Visited 7/9. Soy garlic wings: good except the freshness of the chicken. Meat had some odor, probably due to frozen, not so fresh, or poor prep of the raw meat by the cooks. Pick-up booth staffs, 2 people, weren’t kind- they were just chatty to each other and customers seemed secondary priority to them. Service needs to improve. Compared the overall experience to my go-to place in Vienna, it was disappointing.
Decent chicken not the best Korean fried chicken in the area especially for price. We were charged 3 dollars extra for more radish. At other Korean fried chicken place you wouldn't be charged. portion of radishes was very small as well.
Loved the beef Bolgolgi! We also had the chicken with garlic soy sauce and kimchi coleslaw. The chicken was crispy yet juicy. Everything was delicious and fresh.
Came over late in the night and saw this highly reviewed restaurant. For my first time it was so good I was hooked immediately. It was like the best meal of Korean fried chicken I've ever had.
The food was absolutely amazing and the service is suppperrr amazing! It's also extremely affordable
When me and my family went to bonchon we were there 10:20 and we didn’t know there were about to close, so when a first person got our order and they were cooking it another waiter came and told us “we are closing at 10:30” and the first waiter did not tell us about this! So we got our food To go and the food was tasting off, half of my family threw up. I recommend not going here go to another one but NOT here.
Bonchon is absolutely delicious. If you are unfamiliar or turned away by the fact they have only two flavors, DO NOT WORRY! Their double fried wings are delicious, both flavors. Their fries are also distinctly amazing. They are not my go to chicken spot.
Bonchon is prolly one of the best Korean restaurants in the area, Very clean environment, Good Service, nice selection of Items on the menu, You can't go wrong with the Chicken wings, also the Korean Tacos are really good too.. overall good place for lunch..
I love this place, have eaten here over 20 times in 2 years. The chicken combo is consistently delicious, and soy garlic is perfection, while spicy is very spicy...their other dishes are fine but come here for the chicken. Their take out holds up really well.
**Update: had a large Christmas Charity-Fundraiser Event on Saturday evening Dec. 18th. Seven different restaurants were commissioned to provide catering -- of them, the Bonchon spread was a top three fave among the guests, and clearly the #1 Best Choice for overall cost/value. [A very big thanks due also to Mgr. Jeff for personally delivering & setting up the Bonchon catering on location at no cost. So gratefu!]Lovely, distinguished locale in Arlington to sit outside or at the bar, eat good ethnic fare at reasonable prices, and be served by truly wonderful and inspiring young ladies with authentic smiles! I am not big into chicken, so i prefer the pot stickers and seasoned french fries to nosh on, the kimchi side if i am in the mood, and occasionally the onion rings. My brother in law enjoys beef bulgogi while he drinks beer, and calls the beer selection here 'exceptional' for being a (small) chain restaurant. Yes, this is firstly a Korean BBQ chicken kitchen, and as written above, i am not so enthused by chicken... but, i admit, the soy-garlic sliders are the tastiest snack in all of Arlington, and at a great price during happy-hour. :) Ask for Jeff, the eclectic manager who does all the work as needed, from serving and bussing, to pouring libations behind the bar, with deep pride. Highly recommend this locale for a first date. And also for an afternoon family oriented meal. Now a "Top 5" restaurant in all of Arlington!
