Friendly and fast teamwork.We came in only a half hour before closing time, and they were as spot on as if we came in after opening time instead.***Update***Only eat in.My wife and I tried twice to order delivery to our hotel.The first time the driver left in the lobby without telling the front desk or calling me.The steak in the order was like leather.Tonight we tried again to avoid going out the night before our flight home.This time the delivery was early and brought to our room. Awesome!However we ordered breakfast for me. That was great.I also ordered a slice of ? ?They send a slice of frosted french apple instead.My wife ordered an open faced roast beef sandwich.They gave her open faced turkey sandwich instead.They did at least send her chocolate cream pie right.So, as I said. Do not think of to go or delivery.
This newest location of the small chain offers very good, traditional diner food with decor that goes with the food. We ate breakfast there twice and liked the country-fried steak, the corned beef hash, and the egg dishes. Staff are friendly, with prompt service even when the place is crowded. It's located at the west end of Old Town Alexandria, next door to the Hilton and just a block from the transit center.
What a NIGHTMARE! Server managed to get every single order wrong. Mom asked for honey mustard for her tenders 5 times - never got it. Made my Caesar salad order with spicy chicken- I didn’t ask for meat! She said “no speak English- speak espanol manager not here to void it you must pay for something she got wrong and took back. Worst service ever by Vilcey
French toast was undercooked. Service was friendly the place was packed this Sunday morning at 9 a.mDid not enjoy it much, my boyfriend did not eat his French toast either or his grits, and the syrup provided is very light and not sweet.It was out first time there, not sure we will be back.
I had a great experience . I had the biscuits and gravy and a Diet Coke for breakfast it was pretty good. My server (blond hair it was 6am 4/11/22) was so friendly and attentive! She read my mind when she gave me a take away cup of Diet Coke when I don’t even ask for one! How did she know that was what I wanted? So awesome! Kindest place I’ve been too in the DC Metro area. I really recommend going :)

$10 for two eggs and 3 strips of bacon…. Waitress forgot our order and told us it was because they were so busy….yet everyone else was getting their food… It happens but be truthful don’t give excuses. Just annoyed at the expense especially as we were treated that way. Tried to complain but it took us 15 mins to get the bill and no one seemed to want to help us….
I can’t comment on the food other than the milkshakes, which were wonderful. Service was great, too. One waitress was juggling a lot of balls and was very friendly despite the load she was carrying. Expect a bit of a wait, but enjoy the atmosphere in the meantime.
We ate here twice while staying about two blocks away. Both times food was excellent. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
