Let me start by saying I love this place. Everytime I come to the K Market I get the skewers. The menu says a minimum of three skewers, which is great! As the menu indicates you can and as has always been the case, I've mixed those skewers, choosing one of three kinds. Today I was rudely told I could not mix, and I had to choose three of one skewer, which makes no sense. It's a shame because I like a mix, as do most people. I probably won't be coming here anymore.
It has happened the 2nd time! Closed earlier than their posted open hours (11 AM-9 PM)! Waste of my time driving this far to get here. Will never come back! None of the other stores next to it were closed early, only your store hasn’t even had the most basic "spirit of contract"! If you can't abide by the rule you promised, please update your correct open hours and respect other customers, so that they don't have to make a trip for nothing! Thank you!
So excited to find a dry hot pot (Mala xiang guo) place in the DC area. Authentic flavor. Not too spicy which is good. Just as what I ate when I was staying in China. Skewers are also good. Absolutely recommend! It's in the K market food court, so you have many options.
My fav!!! Guys u have to try it!!!!
Great and authentic Chinese rice noodles! Skewers are recommended.

Here goes: it's inside a food court. I didn't knew that and was slightly disappointed. For some reason I thought it was a legit restaurant. Now for the food. The skewers tasted exactly like some I've had in Beijing. The flavor is spot on and exactly what I was looking for. It is splendid. The spices used are the kind that warm the body without a mouth kick like a jalapeño. Excellent stuff. I had also a whole squid skewer. I picked it because I had just finished squid game and thought it was somehow amusing. It was good but I didn't like it as much as the beef ones. This is due to personal preference and it was still really good. The hot pot is excellent. My only complain is that for a couple dollars more, you could have the same hot pot all you can eat, at a place like 99c (a favorite of mine). Other than that, that place is excellent and I want to go back to try more skewers. If I could, I would have another skewer right about now, they were that good.
Really good. The only thing I want after is a bowl of rice, rice ball, soup, or a drink. Probably rice balls or a cup of soup you can drink without a spoon to keep up the street food vibe.
I revised my initial review to be 4 stars. It’s good to have a place to go for Chinese food in Annandale but I’m a little disappointed of the quality of ingredients. The first time I got lamb skewers, which were pretty good. I also got roast squid but it was undercooked. Half of the squid skewer was cold. The second time I got the hot pot stir fry. There was some sausage that tasted old, not fresh. Even the spicy flavor couldn’t cover it. I hope this store could pay more attention on the quality of ingredients as I like their menu and hope they can survive in this highly competitive food court.
Lamb skewers are bomb.
