Purchased Buttercream cake from Annandale VA store 13 July 2022 for birthday. Filling and frosting was so nasty that all three children threw it away after 1st bite. Almost no cake relative to amount of the greasy tasteless buttercream. Birthday girl said the filling was actually worse than a stick of butter she compared it to.
Shilla was one of my favorite bakeries, until I found this in my coffee drink today.Totally disgusting and I almost threw up….. ?
Very light cakes with very full in cream and taste. Flavors are somewhat light and not heavy to digest. Variety of cakes all great for the choosing. Parking lot is so small and tight. But, we usually do the pick up so it is what it is. Service and the staff are friendly and nice. They are our #1 choice for Bday cakes for family. So we are there 8x of the year for bday cakes not including other purchases. A must go and decent value in prices with a great to go box.
Nice Asian bakery in Annandale. They offer a large variety of coffee and baked goods ranging from bread, buns, crossiant, Asian pound cake to really exquisite looking cream cakes. We got the mango cream cake for a family birthday, looks really good, cNt wait to try it! We also tried their Bingsoo, Korean shaved ice with ice cream ND toppings, we got the Hawaianand coffee bingsoo. They were okay, but honestly we prefer the Snocream across the street.
I been a regular customer of Shilla for many years and they have been consistent with their bake goods until now. Been ordering cakes from them for many years but the last time the cake was not as I expected, it was filled with lots of whipped cream and less cake. It same like they cut back on their ingredients. So disappointed, is not the same Shilla I known.
So I went into shillas bakery today looking for some breakfast and I got the egg and cheese. The egg was not very warm but the croissant was buttery and delicious. I also had a coconut macaroon was was yummy. I think this is a good bakery and I will be back :)Edit: So I went Back and it was great I brought a delicious crossiant with strawberry pastry cream and my god it was amazing thank you for making delicious pastries ✨
Bubbles weren't really chewy but the tea itself was good. Mocha cake was too much cream but fresh cream cake was good.They didn't have many types of bread also the cashier didn't know how she can place an order i think she was under the training.Otherwise it was overall okay experience.
Well, the cashier middle aged lady does not have a good attitude. When I check out my order, I greeted to her and she just glanced at me and didn’t say a word. And she didn’t talk to me through the whole check out process. I feel quite uncomfortable to purchase things from the staff with horrible attitude.If you would like to have a very different shopping experience that makes you unpleasant, yeah, go ahead

I must say that the cantaloupe boba slushy is about as good as it gets. A rare flavor done with perfection. Never seen that flavor anywhere else. Back before covid they would have tons of plates of samples of pastries/breads to try. I would eat like a maniac waiting for my boba. Lol. Also I have only ordered club sandwiches there, and they are great.Highly recommended!!!
