Excellent authentic Vietnamese food in a chic restaurant.
I went to the restaurant yesterday and as soon as I walked in I saw several signs asking customers to be patient as they are short staffed. I thought to myself this is a great way of communicating to customers real challenges with the pandemic. However, this is absolutely no reason to completely ignore someone coming in, your only customer and to be outride rude. My friend was there before I was and noted the servers rude behavior. There were three servers and they just sat and did nothing. I CAME IN, and also sat and noticed they were doing nothing. The server was very short and didnt answer questions or clarify menu options to my satisfaction, he just pointed at the menu and said ,"what is there is there" . I remember this restaurant used to serve mock meats that were vegan. He wouldnt answer my question. He hurried back to his spot behind a huge shield as my friend asked for another straw since he accidentally touched the tip of the straw with his hand as he removed the paper from it. I had to get up from my chair and ask for another straw on my friends behalf and ask for another straw. I said it politely but he yelled back " I already gave you one" . Due to his incredibly standoffish and rude behavior, I was incredibly embarassed that I asked my friend to meet me there. I GAVE ZERO TIP. he obnoxisouly asked for a tip, I said this was a learning lesson for your rude behavior and poor service. Although food was good, I wont come again. I wear a head scarf and myFriend is African American and I couldnt help but feel we were not welcome at his place due to our backgrounds. What a shame. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT IMMEDIATELY AND THIS IS A LEARNING LESSON FOR ME. Never again will i sit in a place where someone disrespects my friend who I invited for dinner. NEVER AGAIN.
Really good food with wide selection. The decor is really cozy too. They let you sit where you want which is a big plus for me.
A casual spot in an Annandale strip mall. The food arrived quickly, the pho broth was great, and they provide generous portions of meat.
The dish I like most is BUN BO HUE! It is the restaurant that this dish is the best in the Annandale area!!!! I live in Herdon, and it takes me more than 40 min to there, but I really love the flavor of it there, and the price is quite suitable, with just nearly $15 for an order!!!! Recommend to my friends!!!
Everyone, the meat eaters, the vegetarian, and the vegan enjoyed our meals. Good preserved (salty) lemon lemonade too.
The owner does not seem like welcoming customers. Even with stuff shortage, you don’t except coming into a restaurant with all trashes on the table and the owner do not ask you to sit down in 10 minutes.
Really really bad service the guy (men) waiter he is bored with his life and his work and despises Hispanics. when another person who is not Hispanic comes in, he speaks well to them, but if he is Hispanic he does not want to attend. it is more he did not bring me water.! I had to ask him. the food is good but the waiter is very bad and he forces you to leave a tip .. !!
This place the worker there just rude. Especially the middle age waiter. Rude with attitude. I was order my food online and this place got wrong order and treat me like a trash. Be warn, do not go to this place if you don't want to wate your value time, money, and respect.
