This is a small mom-and-pop shop and still competes with name brand bakeries nearby. To me, this bakery is a passage to my good old memory back in South Korea. From coffee to their pastries, I feel like I return back to late 80's or 90's in South Korea. That might be why you can see many elder Korean customers come and enjoy this bakery cakes and pastries (and coffee). As you can tell by the bakery's exterior and interior, they are aging together with the owner. If you ask, the owner can tell you his life journey about how he ended up doing bakery business. He is very proud of what he makes / bakes for his customers, and I never doubted that. Even for a small moment with the owner, I learned a few things about life. He mentioned he will retire in a few years. Before that time comes, I will try to visit this bakery as many times as possible.I highly recommend this place unless you are looking for a very trendy Korean bakery that you can easily find many of them in Annandale area. This is the place, you can't easily find in US. Try once and you will love this place!

The bakery is very pretty and has a nice selection of pastries. It was very clean on the inside and they were playing classical music which was quite nice and relaxing. The man behind the counter was kind and made our bingsu fresh. I was really happy they were open a little later than most other bakeries. The Bingsu was made fresh and layered perfectly. There were chunks of fruit all throughout, with ice cream in the middle. It also had some Frosted Flakes cereal inside which added a nice texture. There is plenty of parking outside

First and last time going here. As you walk in, it smells amazing but since I was the only customer in the establishment, I thought it was odd that no one greeted me when I entered. Nonetheless, the smells drew me into selecting a few bakery treats.Just as I was heading to the checkout counter, I saw a cockroach crawling near the food items. I was just about to take a picture of it and then I saw one of the ladies from behind the counter come behind me pretending like she was taking inventory of everything. Unfortunately, because of my race, I am very familiar with this move by establishments: simply go behind the person and fake-scribble things down and act like you’re busy working so that they don’t think it’s weird that you’re following them.In any event I went to the checkout and asked for a hazelnut coffee (which was my original reason for visiting) and they didn’t have it, so I had to settle for a regular. I had to put so much sugar in it to make it drinkable. My recommendation to this bakery: fix your pest problem (since I see others have mentioned this, as well). For everyone else: avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

I’ve been to multitudes of similar bakeries and I have to say my experience here was fine at best. I got Soboro, white bean donut, and a sweet potato bread. The sweet potato bread was quite good, the bread itself was a nice airy texture that blended well with the sweet potato filling. The Soboro and white bean donut, on the other hand, were honestly not edible. Soboro is a staple at many Korean bakeries and the bread is supposed to have an all the way nice fluffy texture with a just right layer at the top that makes it Soboro. The Soboro here had a texture that tasted oddly doughy and starchy in a way. The top layer was also overpowering and I ended up not finishing the first one I bought and threw out the remaining two. The white bean donut is typically supposed to have a nice, soft, and chewy donut layer with a proper amount of filling. The one I tasted crumbled upon biting into the donut and it just tasted way too sweet and pasty. Both were practically inedible. The pricing is similar with nearby locations that would serve as better alternatives.

their milk bread is so fluffy! the bakery has a nice, warm atmosphere, and the employees are kind. the man behind the counter recognized my mom, despite her only visiting a couple of times, and he gave me a couple of small items for free since it was my first time visiting. I will definitely be coming back!

Delicious, fantastic selection of bakery goods. Open late too! Come in for a fruit bing soo after dinner!
