It’s start with the negative first. Beer price is a bit steep and I’ll explain why this matters in a bit.Now, the good. This place quickly became one of our favorite spots. Good food, good service, good atmosphere and I think food price is quite reasonable.Now back to the beer. Though you can eat most of the food here as regular dinner, most of them are technically drinking food. If you’re not familiar with that term, it’s basically food that you eat while you drink (comparable to happy hour food). Already been here several times now and almost every time over half of our bill was from alcohol.Is beer price going to stop me from coming back? No but it is going to stop me from bringing bigger groups. Just an FYI.
NYC GOP Chang story is awesome. We are big fans. This one in Annandale is so bad. I went twice and both times so disappointing. Both times the food came out reheated and cold/warm. Normally I’d show grace and not even post a bad review, but the server male with the white baseball cap was so rude, even to his co-workers. Not sure if he was a manager. This branch does not reflect positively on the chain.
Amazing food and friendly services if you are into beef intestines. Clean and modern restaurant.The fry rice cake was exceptional. Would definitely be back.
We ordered Assorted Intestine GUI. It was tasty, but portion was very small for $26 dish... We added fried rice which was $5 but again, the portion was very small. All side dishes were good.I would come more often if the dishes are reasonably priced.
2021 review - Returned on a weekend to try again with some friends. The menu is the same as the one in New Jersey and the intestines are also much better quality. I am extremely particular with my intestines as I require absolutely no grittiness inside. Previously there was a small amount which means they weren't properly handled. Now they are perfect and quality is represented like the other franchises. Definitely will be returning.2020 review- Been to the one in New Jersey. This location isn't as grand because the menu is much more consolidated. Intestines were nice but wish they had the pork combo set. Worth the hour drive!
One of my friends took us here and we were blown away by the hospitality and food. Our server was amazing, I wish I had got his name. I tried intestines for the first time and it was delicious! The fried rice over cheese #bomb. You have to just try it! I definitely will be a returning customer.
If you are adventurous and want to try intestines, please give this place a try. Some places do not clean the innards correctly, but not this restaurant. Your experience here will be amazing as the servers are constantly asking if you need anything. The thick cut pork belly is almost better than a BBQ place.
Good quality, price is high but great overall
Second time trying this place. First time, we got the marinated gopchang and it was too greasy to finish for 4 of us. Second time, we got the regular gopchang and we got one large, one small, and fried rice to finish the job. I'd recommend the 2nd route. The amounts are not that big, but they are quite chewy and delicious.
First time eating gopchang (intestines) and I loved it. Came with a group of four, and altogether we ordered the large intestines with the fried rice cakes, thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef ribs, and kimchi fried rice. Starting with the intestines, it was delicious. It is a bit chewy but super flavorful and tasty. The fried rice cakes were also very good, I've never had anything like it before. The pork belly was good, nothing special but I like pork belly. The marinated beef ribs were also super flavorful, and I usually don't like eating beef. The kimchi fried rice was also one of my favorites, they mix it in to the hot plate with the leftover intestines. They also add some egg, cheese, fish eggs and seaweed to it. It was amazing. Also want to add that the staff was very friendly and attentive to usSo overall a great dining experience and super good food. I definitely plan to come back again and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys kbbq, but wants to try something a little different
