Ordered through doordash three separate instances; my child loves their turkey sub plain... Each time they forgot either an ingredient or juice or desert.... It's one singular simple order with cheese and turkey... How talented do you have to be to mess that up 3 separate times!?!?!?..........I wish you guys were better at making plain turkey sub than hiding behind apologies. Keep your apologies.
Food was alright. But service needs big help. SLOW!!! There was 4 employees. One was making sandwiches, one was ringing people up and the other 2 were, well not doing much. I wouldn’t recommend this location if your in a hurry. Plus the drink station was a bit messy and the was a sandwich toaster just placed there. ??♂️ I won’t be back.
When the Roster is not in, the chickens won't lay eggs!I really like this sandwich shop. The sandwiches are VERY tasty. And "almost" always spot on.But, when the big Kahuna is not there, the dancers don't dance as well.I got there and the employees were having a chat and they kept on chatting and then more....They looked at me and just kept chatting away. Well, muchas gracias for ignoring me.Then I asked for a sandwich to go and even though I explained in detail what I wanted and how, surprise surprise...When I got home I did not get what I paid for...Never once, in the past, when I've visited this store when the Kahuna is in have I had a problem with my order nor have I been ignored while being the only person while the employees chat among them.
I've had good experiences with Firehouse in the past, but I am really annoyed with a recent catering box order. This probably isn't unique to this particular store, but Firehouse in general. We ordered 2 boxes of subs and 60% of the sandwiches were with sweet ham. We had 16 people, 2 of whom like sweet ham (personally I find it gross). We had half or the order left over and no one really wanted to take it home. I accept some of the blame here, but when they say turkey and ham, I don't expect it to be sweet ham. When they say Italian sub, sweet ham doesn't belong on it (unless specified). I don't understand what their obsession is with it, but apparently they don't carry regular ham.
Not a good experience! I selected to "build my own sub" for $10.49, and selected grilled chicken. They said $11.99 plus tax. I pointed up at their menu that says $10.49. The employee said it was "$10.49 and up". I asked which sub was $10.49, the employee said they don't have a $10.49 sub -- they were all $11.99.Since it was the same price as an $11.99 Specialty Sub, I ordered a Specialty meatball sub. They gave me the shoddy build your own sub instead.
Firehouse is a great chain but the way the manager was speaking to her young black employees made us very uncomfortable. I see others complaining about her in here too.

The food is great. The prices are good (although they do charge a bit more than the Kingstowne location). The staff is friendly, and generally fairly quick.But the manager is a whole other story. I have had her openly complain about her staff to me while her staff was standing right next to her, she’s rude and condescending to them, but today I hit my breaking point with her when I overheard her say she was taking one of her staff member’s tips. It’s not like this is a big tipping place to begin with, but if someone gives a staff member a tip they better get to keep it (or at least get divided between all the staff members). Having the owner just take that is completely unacceptable in my opinion.I already felt guilty every time I came here because of how poorly she treats her staff. But after seeing this, I’ll be voting with my wallet and taking my business elsewhere going forward.
Every time I’m in the area this is my go to place to grab me a cheddar smoke house brisket and cherry lime ade.
Aside from ridiculous wait times and rude punks working at this place, I developed all the signs and symptoms of listeria poisoning from this joint. It took a mere 4 hours right after their food. I have test results that show I had listeria poisoning and the first question the doc asks is have I been eating deli meat or cooked chicken? Go figure. Save yourself the headache from this dump and find another location.
