Chicken was great, but we went in to dine the other day and there was a strong sewage small throughout the restaurant. Not sure if there was some sort of short term issue, but it was so bad that we had to leave and ordered takeout instead. They should probably shutdown until that’s resolved.

Enjoy the food every time. Unfortunately, this time, service was really bad. We were sat quickly and initial service was ok. As our meal progressed, we requested water which never came. Server was in deep conversation with another staff member and for a good while did not look back at us. Had to stand up and walk to them to get their attention. We reminded them we had requested white rice x 2 and were told ok. Another group which sat 15 minutes after is was brought 4 servings of rice before us! I reminded them we were waiting for rice and they said they had ran out but were working on it. After that another another 15 minutes to get our rice! We even had to wait to get our bill after we requested it. Again, worse experience, we were at the restaurant for more than 1.5 hours for a simple lunch. Ask to speak to manager and all he said was they were new and he would talk to them.

They changed the recipe! The one thing that made BonChon so notable and so good (and worth the price) was the fact that the chicken was so good and unique! Now it’s actually kind of bad. Too much heavy breading, tastes different, and just not the same. We used to order from here on special occasions. Even my picky kids liked the soy garlic strips. Now they won’t eat it, and I don’t blame them.We ordered from here a few months ago and just thought maybe they sent us the wrong thing. After the second time I asked around to see if I could find out what the deal is, and confirmed they changed the recipe. So we won’t be ordering BonChon anymore :(

I got the half and half 10 piece chick wings for 14.95. The chicken was flavorful but I felt it was overpriced. It was also VERY greasy.

The new recipe for the chicken is a disappointment. The breading is too heavy, and no different than what you can get at (gasp!) KFC. The chicken was also 2x as salty as normal. At this point, nothing differentiates bonchon, so I don't know why I'd come back and pay more for the same food.Additionally the steamed rice was *very* overcooked, basically inedible.

This place is very restricted when customers ordered to eat inside. They come directly to customers to collect additional fee if you seated their table. Customers were feeling uncomfortable when this happened.

Update. Thank you for listening, BC Annandale. Full slaw this time - understood it’s just slaw; but getting what you pay for is always appreciated. New photo. +2 stars.Old review below:Great chicken, but the skimping on sides, even when we are ordering them separately and paying extra for them, has finally gotten old. Pictured here is $2.95 in coleslaw. Half filled sauces are a dollar. There are better options out there in pelicana and CM - among others.

Just visit this restaurant for lunch today. I had the kitchen cats. It's quite good as the chicken is fried very crispy and the soy sauce used with the chicken and rice is very good and the dish is decorated quite eye-catching. Last thing is the price is quite affordable with just $12, which is quite suitable for lunch. Recommend this to my friend and surely will visit to try another dishes the next time.

Disappointing to say the least. I'm not sure why the Annandale location's food tastes and its appearance is different than the other locations...the plain fried rice was horrible - soft, terrible taste, cubed diced peppers, barely noticed the onions, no kick of spice or seasoning at all, and there was some semblance of what appeared to be an egg. The chicken ...as it stands Bonchon doesn't add nor allow the purchase of additional soy garlic sauce but believe it or not several pieces of my 'party wings' were not fully covered in sauce. $27 for 10 wings and plain fried rice would be worth it, if prepared properly. Bonchon just lost a customer.

It’s a no go. No bugs or hairs like other reviewers, but we won’t be back. Got sliders which would’ve been great if it actually had chicken, no joke, the pickle was thicker. Also the Korean fried wings aren’t right. Sauce is fine but they aren’t breaded right like good Korean fried chicken.
