I like their savory soy bean milk and pan fried beef bun. The pan fried beef bun has a lot of juice inside, so customers need to be pretty careful when eating it, but that’s also what makes it so good! Other items are pretty authentic Taiwanese breakfast stuff - not particularly delicious but good enough considering it’s in the US. They have a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Overall, I think it’s my go-to place whenever I’m craving for Taiwanese breakfast.

Coming from Vancouver, Canada where we have world class Chinese food, it has been hard to find good Chinese food here in the DC area. I mean if this place thinks Peking Gourmet Inn is good (it’s garbage by the way) then I don’t have high expectations here. This is the closest I’ve come to a solid neighborhood casual joint with decent food. Back home I would give it 3.5 stars but here I gave it 4 and that’s very good for this area. They speak Mandarin and Cantonese and have Chinese on their menu. Can’t say the same for the kitchen though.

As a Taiwanese American, I had to get the spicy beef noodle soup and minced pork rice (yes sometimes I get 2 entrees for dinner). Not too shabby at all! Not the same as Taiwan but authentic enough. The wide noodles were ?? and the broth pretty flavorful.Restaurant is small but clean with great service. Menu looks deep. I will be back to try many more items. Prices are very reasonable too!

This is a long-standing Taiwanese restaurant in Annandale Koreatown. Not a fancy restaurant for sure but they provide comfortable ambiance. As you can tell from their customers, many Asians enjoy this restaurant food.Hot tea comes with every meal (it is free of charge, and you can ask for water instead). I ordered cucumber salad in hot garlic sauce, Xiaolong bao, beef noodle soup and braised pork on rice with braised egg. I ordered handmade wide noodles as my choice for the beef noodle soup. Their beef noodle soup is not a typical beef noodle soup that I am used with. Broth is not rich enough and a bit red colored broth. Although it has some spices, it does not have a deep meat-based flavor. Handmade wide noodles are righteous.Xiaolong bao is okay but is not juicy as I tried from other restaurants and dumping skin is a bit thick. Their service is attentive and friendly. They only take "cash".Here are tips:Food: Average or slightly average flavor on certain menuService: Attentive and friendlyAmbiance: a typical Chinese restaurant interior.Parking: free of charge but limited as they share with other restaurants

Food was delicious and the service was quick. This is a cash only restaurant.

Food is way too expensive. I got probably 6 very thin and small slices of sliced pork (barely covered the small plate bottom) for almost $10 and also found a piece of fried plastic in the fried pork chop I ordered.Taste of food is plain. Will not go back.

One of my favorite restaurant! I've been going here since 2000. Portion got smaller especially for the fried chicken and rice dish but still delicious! Seaweed salad, cucumber salad, dried bean curd with peanuts are my favorite side dishes! I live an hour away now but still coming. It is worth the drive!

Overall good food, but limited seating. The fried chicken was good, both with rice and noodles. The red bean pastry was nice and flaky. Coffee milk tea was great, but the taro milk tea came out very warm.

Had the spicy beef noodle and pan-fried beef bun. Very tasty. Clean and good service. Queue can be long.
