Hit or miss depending on who is working. There seems to be a communication problem with ordering here. Two times we have asked on our veggie pizza order for NO artichokes and to please add olives instead. Another time, please olives in lieu of artichokes. We go to pick up our pizza, get to the car and our destination and ARTICHOKES!!!! This past Friday, the pizza had artichokes with a note on the two pizza boxes that said “Olives no Artichokes” we were like WT? it also had no cheese……I am serious!!!!!!! Bread, sauce and little bit of veggies.I am no fan of returning food as I don’t trust people but PLEASE check your order before you walk away.Sometimes the pizza IS amazing, but I think we have to find another pizza spot as to not have to keep our fingers crossed when we order.
Worst Italian sandwich ever. The bread was too dense and stale. Large sub literally had two slices of salami; no other meats. I had to add my own deli meat at home to make it even close to edible. This is possibly the worst case of food regret I’ve ever had.
Great place to stop by for a quick coffee and sandwich or to dine in for a pizza and a beer or wine! Very large collection of Italian wines and snacks as well. Would definitely recommend!
Update; after the review they replied asking email them but, NO Response from them again.Pros: They’re fast, & they have a nice sitting area on the right of the store.Cons: The veggie pizza is too cheesy like cheese pizza( we didn’t like it at all).They, I guess, make Groupon customers’ pizza in a different and cheap condition.The phone call responses are not clear and the background is too noisy,
Awesome spot for grabbing a meal! We ordered paninis and subs from here a few times and it never disappoints. The people who work here are very nice. the tiramisu is amazing!
Outstanding subs, delicious pizza, and a super friendly staff! What else would you want when grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break? The market is super fun to browse while you are there as well. I plan on coming back here often!
I should have read through the reviews carefully before ordering food here. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and Giorgio’s sub. Both were terrible. Like how do you screw up a sub? 70% of the meat and cheese fillings were hard along the edges. There was no Mayo, or sauce of any kind on the sub which basically means the sub was dry as hell. The bread seemed old.Don’t get me started on the pizza. The pizza was undercooked. It didn’t hold together and had no flavor. Lunchable’s pizza from the store or gas station tastes better. I threw most of it in the trash and found something in my fridge to eat.I’m convinced the ratings with 5 stars are fake reviews. The kids who took my order and prepared my food were rather young and could use customer service training.Im new in town and have been exploring foods in the Alexandria area. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. Huge disappointment and a complete waste of money.
The Italian Place has the absolute best food and most friendly staff! I’m a big fan of tiramisu but had a hard time finding good authentic tiramisu until I stumbled upon the Italian Place! Everything there tastes fresh and delicious, and I always find fun discounts online too! Getting food from the Italian Place is a must do if you live in the DMV area!
This place was great. The food was amazing and the costumer service was great as well. Such a friendly group of employees. Will be sure to pay another visit soon! The pizza was my favorite menu item!
