My Stepmom suggested Executive Diner for dinner and I am oh so glad. The crab cake Appetizer was delicious and big enough for an entree. But before I realized it's size I had ordered the Eggs Benedict - oh so good! The staff is very friendly and helpful (meal mates had dietary questions and specific ratio for Arnold Palmer). Will definitely go again when I'm back in town. Oh and a parking lot instead of on street parking is a huge plus!

My new favorite breakfast spot. We did wait about 30 min to be seated, however, the wait at the table was a little longer. The waitress did inform us they were short staffed and running longer than usual. When food arrived, it was HOT which was a huge plus. Sometimes when you wait long food will come out cold, but that was not the case here. Service was top-notch! Food was delicious! They make the best grits I've ever tasted. French toast was very good along with everything else. The seating outside was covered and perfect since the weather was in the 70s. We will be back soon.

Food was delicious. Corn beef hash was well season. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Hash brown potato were delicious. Waitress was very patient and courteous. This was my first visit, based on a recommendation. I will certainly return.

Clean comfortable restaurant. Food and service were awesome, so good that we came back the next morning. The grits were exceptional (even better than when I cook them at home). That being said, the French toast was the winner and without a doubt the best we have ever eaten. A true local gem!

Perfect for a family with picky eaters. My son had pancakes and my daughter had pasta. I enjoyed a delicious roasted half chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had French toast bThe service was wonderful and the ambiance is cool. We will be back!

Where do I begin....Went there based on being in the area and hungry. I liked that they had all-day breakfast. Waiter was great. Can't blame him for bad food. How do you mess up Belgian waffles? The waffles taste bitter. Not sure why. I took 2 bites and washed it down with my drink. I ordered the dry rub wings as an appetizer which were good. Old bay is the rub. Needed some salt. My companion ordered the pancakes and they sent him straight to the bathroom. ? I don't know what they are famous for but it can't be the food.

Most people don't realize this is a diner because it doesn't look like your type standalone diner. It's connected to a building so you might miss it. The inside set up isn't really your typically diner either but I gave it a 4 star because the food was pretty good and they have mimosas/full bar which is something diner usually don't have when you think of the old school diner. My biscuit and gravy which they call "Sausage and Biscuit" was amazing and you can eat on it for 3 days (well I did). They have a drink with Grand Marnier and champagne (can't remember the name) and it was great. Overall, if you want something filling and not trying to spend a lot this is a good stop.

We had a to go order. The servers we very friendly and took our large order. It was ready in about 12 minutes. The pancakes are really fluffy and thick. The grits were really soft and hit the spot. The maple sausages beat any of those Jimmy Dean type breakfast sausage I've had. It gives you a home made breakfast feel. The only negatives are the prices are a tad bit high for what amounts to Breakfast food and the Hollandaise sauce with the eggs Benedict was a bit acidic and thin rather than salty/creamy as it should be.

We enjoyed an excellent bowl of clam chowder and a cup of very good beef vegetable soup. We followed our soup with an amazing crab cake sandwich and salad and a wonderful chicken quesadilla with some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had in a restaurant! And very reasonably priced to boot.

Went with a friend to Executive diner today in Alexandria. Alexandria of the present is not a place I would associate with a diner. The staff was all very helpful and friendly, we were seated right away and met by our server who was pleasant. We ordered our food and within a reasonable amount of time it was at our table. A Reuben for me and a gyro for my friend. As would be expected the servings were large indeed! The reuben was excellent, a lot of meat on nice bread that held up until finished. It was big but it was good. The fries look a bit dark but they were crispy, not greasy and very good. They gave me a ton of them, I couldn't finish it. My friend loved the gyro and she was able to take half of it home for dinner tonight! Great place, highly recommend it.
