On our hunt for the DMV’s best fried chicken sandwich we came across a hidden gem in Alexandria. If I’m not mistaken, the fried chicken sandwich is new to here menu. I was impressed to say the least. The flavor, texture, AND SIZE of this sandwich was/is definitely unmatched. This sandwich made a jump on our top 28 list to number 3. No regrets. If you are around the area, you should make an effort to go. The price was reasonable as well.
SO GOOD. had the veggie burger and it was one of the best I’ve had in this area! My husband had “the original” chicken sando and loved it. Fries were delicious too! Everyone was so kind also :) will definitely be coming back!
I was given a thick dry burger, I see why they put so much toppings on it. Fries was to crunchy with no flavor. This place open back up and went down hill with all new limited menu I was better off going to Wendy’s. They should have changed the name if it was bought by new owners!
This place’s burgers and sandwiches used to be really good, I would’ve given them a 4. Instead of extending their menu with new items, they decided to hop on the chicken sandwich craze of 2019 by removing all the old stuff and completely rebranding, weird.I ordered a chicken sandwich and got this gigantic fried chicken breast topped with a little bun “hat” looking like Hey Arnold’s head. Some tangy hot sauce that was kinda gross, but that might just be me.Like someone else said, the chicken was little flavor all spice. The only thing they kept were those college cafeteria fries.Idk how their business success used to be before the transition, but it’s a shame because a lot of people miss the burgers that made this place the best in the shopping center. They did a good job cutting into that niche for people who want a decent burger, didn’t want to pay $20 for Five Guys, but also didn’t want processed Wendy’s.
I absolutely love, love, LOVE this place. I ordered once a few weeks ago just to try something new and let me tell you, the chicken sando is AMAZING. The price and the amount of food you get is phenomenal, and the chicken is so juicy and crispy. The fries are probably the best fries I’ve ever had, they are so crispy! Then the sauces……BRUH, the sauces they have are so good. They have this sauce called the comeback sauce and I would pay for a tub of that stuff. Food so good it’ll make you slap yo momma! I wish they had a rewards program because in the span of 3 weeks I’ve had it about 4-5 times! Keep up the quality!!!!
Original Sando cayenne - $10 on Door dash. Loaded Fries cayenne - $10. Try it for yourself!
This was a 5 star restaurant for me until they kept the name and changed the entire menu. Everything I loved about this place is gone and now all they serve is fried chicken. My office of 10 would order from here every Friday because they had a great variety of fresh, well made sandwiches, wraps, salads and hamburgers. Sadly, we have to find another lunch spot. :( Please add the old menu back!
Under new management. All the sandwiches & burgers that were so good are gone. The coating for the chicken is no longer the wonderfully crisp kind as the chicken wings before. The hot chicken is all spice without flavor. They no longer fry the fries fresh to add to your order plus they weren’t fried enough to be crisp in the first place. We used to go all the time but will stop. Also don’t appreciate their trying to keep the name to pretend it’s the same and keep the previous great reviews.
Tasted really good! Loved how spicy the chicken was.
MENU HAS CHANGED!! Beware. It’s not an upgrade.Used to love this place. Now it’s only variation of spicy chicken, and crunchy fried things. No more specialty burgers that made this place stand out.Ordered what were promised by the cashier as made as burgers (as in beef) were discovered home as spicy chicken sandwiches, one of which, half of the breast was freezer burned once upon a time, too tough and inedible chew toy.Not coming back. If you like $10 spicy chicken sandwiches and or crunchy fried things, step right up-otherwise give the new menu a wide berth and get dinner somewhere else.
