1st time visit. The place is nice and modern. They have nice indoor wrap around bar and lots of seating inside and out. The staff were attentive and friendly. Ordered the blood orange margarita to drink. Was nice and refreshing. Ordered the beef burrito to eat and it said it came with rice and beans. I thought it was the traditional platter I get at other Mexican restaurants but to my surprise the rice and beans were actually just part of the large burrito. I would've rather had them on the side as the flavors just kinda got lost in it...i wanted the distinct textures and flavors along with the burrito. I wouldn't order it again unless i could get them as separate sides. I may go back and try the tacos.
So... Let me start by saying the street corn was the best I've had in the DMV! Tacos and nachos were pretty good too. Only four beers on tap but the tequila list has variety. It was pretty empty on a Sunday night. So, I wasn't feeling the slow service but we ended up with a free taco so I suppose it worked out. Overall, Tequila & Tacos is a chill spot with a good vibe.
This is a secret spot if you want good food and drink. I’ve been here plenty of times and I’ve never been disappointed. Awesome staff and the ambiance is what you expect. Highly recommended.

Our waiter was nice, and the atmosphere was okay. We went on a Saturday evening to celebrate our anniversary. We both ordered the chimichanga (chicken/steak) and thought it was going to be spectacular, but it was just mediocre. Their salsa and watermelon margarita was good however. I also ordered the street corn which was also mediocre. Sadly, there was no wow experience like we expected!
We are always looking for great Mexican cuisine. We were staying at a hotel close to this location and decided to try it out. Although I was not impressed by the enchiladas, the steak burrito and ALL of the tacos were amazing. We have gone back three times already! The salsa is pretty tasty also. I recommend the pork belly taco as well. The only recommendation I would have is that they need to get fountain drinks. They just give cans which are never as good. Other than that, we love it!
The atmosphere was good, waiter was nice but the food wasn’t good at all, my husbands eggs were under done so he only ate bits of it, I ordered the shrimp fajita bowl which was 17$ for four little shrimp and I couldn’t finish my food because the black beans were super salty. There was also stuff floating at the bottom of our water that they brought out, it was gross. They took my bowl off my bill and it was his birthday. We DID NOT ENJOY it. Good luck hopefully your experience was better then mine. Only reason I gave it two stars was because the waiter was really nice.
Loved my experience here. Will absolutely visit again before I head home- great tasting salads, tacos, and margaritas. Highly recommend the Diablo taco ?
