Our overall experience was very satisfactory and we will return in the future. The one criticism was the lobster in pasta dish that was somewhat washed out in the red sauce. We would not choose that again. All the other dishes were excellent.
Tempo is always excellent!
We always enjoy going to Tempo. The staff are very attentive.
We originally planned to sit outside due to COVID-19, however it was an extremely hot day, so we decided to eat inside, instead. We were seated in the far back room, next to the window. It was perfect! The âhostessâ and server both wore masks and those were the only two people we saw in our room! The service was wonderful and the food was great! A very pleasant lunch.
A neighborhood gem. Older crowd, great food. There used to be background music but people complained so they do have that anymore.
Food was outstanding; service was a bit slow, probably due to under-staffing as a result of covid.
There were 5 of us in the group. All enjoyed our appetizers of mussels with marinara sauce, oysters Rockefeller, and she crab soup. For entrees, 3 of us ordered the recommended angel hair pasta with shrimp & scallops- delicious, one loved the flounder with scallops special. The steak entree was reported to be too chewy. The flan was delicious.
A very nice family restaurant. Reasonably priced and very friendly. I loved the brunch. Absolutely going back! ❤️
You'll want to get a reservation if you decide to dine here. It's a smaller establishment and can get busy during peak times. We ordered their 3 course dinner for 2 for $55 which includes your choice of an appetizer, entrée, desert, and a bottle of wine..I had the Prosciutto e Melon: Parma ham and fresh melon as the appetizer. The melon was not quite ripe yet but the ham was very tasty.Unfortunately for us this is the part we did not like. Timing is everything, and instead of allowing us to finish our appetizer first they rushed out our entrées before we were halfway done so they had to sit the entrées in the middle of the table while we continued to finish our appetizers. Watching our meal getting cold was not an appetizing sight. The weight staff did not take our plates away so we had to move our empty plates to the center to move our entrées in place. The tables are small so a bit awkward.I had the Scaloppine di Vitello Parmigiana. A breaded veal scallopini, roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, gratinee’. Very tasty but a little heavy on the cheese which makes the dish a little oily and overpowers the taste of the veal. This is however minor and subjective. The meal was still good and the veggies were delicious. These are just minor points that could be corrected and will not stop us from going back. The staff were very friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant was very pretty. The real flowers at the table was an excellent detail.
This food at its best, its a restaurant that one enjoy a three course and not feel bloated or have a doogy bag. The food is sooo flavorful with deep of flavor. I had Carpaccio which was so light and delicious. Entrée was Veal al'lAncienne, which was absolutely delicious, served woth a wonderfully flavorfull sauce. Desserts were Key Lime Pie and Blueberry Tart, again both so packed with flavor. This restaurant is a hidden jewel and a true foodies delight. I highly recommend it.
