In Alexandria today with the Crane crew. Got to try out Table Talk Restaurants Coffee and Home fries. All Good. They were very busy and got me squared away quickly.Nice Cozy Bar/ Diner feel here. Enjoy!

Come with an appetite! Very large portions and traditional diner classics are the signature here. My dining partner had the pancakes which were the size of the plate. They looked fantastic and he said they tasted so too! I had the french toast...I know, I know, just about the easiest thing to make at home but their french toast was delicious. Sweet enough that I didn't need syrup and spiced up with plenty of cinnamon.

My buddy and I have been coming here 2-4 times a month for the past 4 years as a treat for making it to the gym every weekday. The service here is always fantastic, our regular server even knows our cars and will set coffee out on our usual table before we walk in. The food is no frills but also no nonsense. It may not be fancy, but they get it right every time and I'm always full and happy when I leave. The prices are also super fair.

A dear friend was going to be at National Harbor for a convention, and we decided that we would drive over from Baltimore and take her to lunch in Alexandria, VA. We picked the Table Talk Restaurant for its great reviews and because they offered free parking. The restaurant was nicely decorated and offered several rooms for dining as well as a bar area. We came later to avoid the lunch rush, which we did. We practically had the dining room to ourselves. Our servers, Lesya and Maria, took excellent care of us. We liked that we could order breakfast as well as lunch. My husband went right for one of his favorites, the creamed chipped beef. He asked that it be put over the home fries with rye toast on the side. It was a generous portion and really good. I decided to try their famous Reuben. It was loaded with corned beef – grilled to perfection and served with chips. Our friend came from Arizona and of course wanted a crab cake. She ordered the crab cake platter that came with two cakes. For her sides, she chose potato salad and onion rings. The crab cakes were thin, but had a great flavor. The onion rings were perfect – crispy and large. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. Thank you for our delicious lunches and great service. We highly recommend your restaurant!

Great food, Wonderful service, very accommodating for a walk in group of 8!

Staying at the Wyndham Old Town for a week, the menu and reviews from others put this at the top of our list and we just had to eat at this place to compare with the other diner in the area. My wife and I ordered the 3 egg omelets which come with a side of home fries and toast. The omelets were absolutely delicious and there was so much food we had enough for 2 meals. We will return when we are in the area.

A short walk from our hotel, we had lunch here and the BLT was delicious. The next day breakfast was just as good. Love to eat local when we travel and this is a perfect example of why. Owner was onsite and very friendly. He knew his regulars and made visitors feel welcome.

Best place around for breakfast. The food is fantastic and very affordable. French toast is to die for. The biscuits and gravy have a nice little spiced twist to them. I don't know where they source their strawberries but they're consistently top notch and fresh. The staff is very friendly, service is fast, and the environment is very quaint and inviting. I've been here more times than I can count, both with people, or on my own to just have a nice breakfast, some coffee, and to read a book.

Our desk clerk recommended this restaurant for breakfast. Glad we took her advice. This is an old fashion diner with a little pub thrown in for good measure. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming as you could find in a down home diner. The kitchen was accommodating to a person whose stomach wanted a home cooked meal. The eggs were prepared to perfection the bacon was not burned nor raw and plentiful. We went on a Saturday morning about 10 am the place was bustling but not a long wait. This is not a upscale dining place the wait staff in the morning may not recognize any specialized alcoholic breakfast drinks. But fear not there is a bar with a knowledgeable bartender a step away from your table. Have a chat with him and you will get what you need. The breakfast potatoes are seasoned and prepared a bit different then in deep south. They are flavorful and plentiful. Prices were not extreme it was a bit of home in a bustling tourist town. A real find will definitely add this to our travels when in Arlington. I gave it 5 stars because it is exactly as portrayed a crowded hometown diner
