Great portions, great taste (especially the green and yellow sauces). Plantains were slightly dry and less crispy than I’d like but the chicken and the empanada were both fantastic
Don’t judge this restaurant by its appearance!I’ve eaten here a couple of times now, each time trying the chicken! This time however, I tried the chicharron! Prefer the chicken bits that’s a personal thing nothing to do with this place!As for the sides, the Yucca fries are where’s its at! McDonalds needs to offer these in lieu of the potato ones!
The chicken is very good, as are the side dishes. The carryout service was fast and the staff friendly. I ordered at the counter and our food was ready in about five minutes. The family chicken combo easily fed four adults. I will be going back. Recommend.
Loved this place for 20years, now something really drop. Everything has turned so bland. Just heartbreaking. One item that did have “flavor” was the potatoes which had a strong flavor of fish. Old fish. The fired yucca was cooked better than I have seen in the past, but the sauces seem to have been replaced with mayonnaise and unripe peppers. Chicken was completely lacking seasoning and seemed old like it had been in the warmer too long. Most the place was clean except the back kitchen or bathroom area that was flooded with something that smelled like it had been there for some time. Just seems like new management that killed one of my old favorites. Not going back
The Peruvian chicken is DELICIOUS! the rice and green beans are also delicious but the plantains were very disappointing. We took our food to go along with all the other customers. It's not a nice place to dine in but I'll definitely go back for the food.
Superior food, great tastes, and some authentic dishes. My favorite is the beef heart skewers and potatoes...and a clean and well run kitchen.
First time customer’s from Fairfax and we were blown away by the price for a family deal (under $40 for a whole chicken, 4 salads, 4 sides, and a 2 liter of soda), and every single item was heavenly! The chicken was so fresh, juicy, and piping hot, the salads were fresh, crisp and not watered down with the perfect amount of dressing, the yuka and fries were fresh and crisp to perfection! I am super picky about coleslaw and especially rice and beans (I find they are usually dry and flavorless at most restaurants) but they did not disappoint. In fact, next to my MIL they were the best I have ever had and they were also very fresh tasting! I was also equally impressed by the kindness and diligent employees as they cleaned more than a few times while we were there (e.g., mopped, swept, sanitized tables) and the food was prepared quickly and - as mentioned - perfectly! On our way out we grabbed the recommended flan and a dulce de leche and can’t wait to try them later today. Though it’s a ~25 minute drive, we will absolutely be back!

This place deserves its ratings! I have to admit, I wasn't sure what to expect, after arriving at Su Pollo. The parking lot wasn't well kept, and the exterior probably needed a good pressure clean to bring out the warm red paint, but don't let that fool ya. This place was fantastic! We received a friendly greeting with a smile. The cashier was ready to take our order and was on point. The food came very quickly, and we were out the door before we knew it. We had a picnic that day, and the first thing we tore into were the yucca fries. Wow were they good! Best yucca fries I've had yet in fact! The exterior was crispy, and the interior was soft, and melted right in your mouth. The chicken was great too! I took the white meat, and my wife the dark. The white meat was cooked to perfection. It was moist and full of flavor, leaving me yearning for more. As for my wife's portion...she asked if we could go back in for more. I would definitely recommend giving it try sometime! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
The best pollo on Route one.Getting expensive but still worth it. Delicious and tasty! Great easy location.
