Absolutely LOVE this place. Straight forward menu approach for hungry seafood lovers, and they absolutely deliver a perfect crab boil experience without breaking your wallet. There’s no chance I’m won’t be back for more.
I went there for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The waitress was really sweet and once she found out it was my birthday she made me feel special and celebrated. I think her name was Ari. The food was delicious and the restaurant is overall a very nice place to go and dine and relax. Also there was a large parking lot.
Update: Really a shame, myself and the table next to us had a really negative experience. The waiter was great, but we had to pay $10 if we wanted lobster crackers. We’ve had issues with trying to get lobster crackers several times before, but just wrote it off. Worst of all, the infant high chairs were practically Jerry-rigged. Our first one literally broke and could have injured our toddler. The second one we requested was just as bad. We won’t go there again. However, the waiter was super sweet and tried to make the experience positive. When management is bad, there is only so much a waiter can do…
The food was good you definitely get what you pay for. The service on the other hand was poor. If it was not for the service I would rate the place a 5. Now would I go back, no. Would I recommend to my friends no.
Went out with a friend, we bought $38 snow crab and shrimp. The whole bag was good for two of us. Huge serving.?You could get it in all seasonings, however it would be too salty. We only had the Garlic Lemon seasoning and not with Cajun to lower the saltiness.
I love this place and have never had any issues until yesterday. We arrived and they were short staffed, so I believe that is the reason it took over an hour to get a table. Hostess took my name and phone number and said she would call once our table was ready so we could wait outside or in our car, and the wait was 20-30 minutes. After waiting over 45 minutes we went back in to ask what happened and we noticed the hostess was sitting other people that had arrived way after we did. She claimed we were next on the list so we stayed inside. We were seated shortly after... bathroom were dirty, trash bibs, water all over the floor and all over the counter. There was 1 waitress in our section and 1 other girl helping in the bar. Drinks were too strong, hardly drinkable, orange juice was bad, sour, but we did get it exchanged no problem. I felt bad for the waitress as she was running around like crazy. I will say the food was delicious, so overall it was an okay experience.
I typically come here once a week with my friend. The staff knows us by now and they are super friendly and nice. I haven’t been in a few weeks because i had surgery but just know, I’ll be back for your delicious food and great service very soon!! Thanks for all you do and your great service! Everyone should try the boil bags and mix all three sauces. BOMB.COM!
Our friend asked what we wanted to eat after a long day of touring the DC area in the middle of a heat wave. I said "Food, in bulk." The Sea Boil plopped FREAKING PLASTIC BAGS of boiled crabs, shrimp and trimmings soaked in cajun spice in front of us (along with some excellent hush puppies), covered us with plastic bibs, and told us to go to town. So we did, and it was wonderful. SEA food? Check. Boiled? Check. It's the SEA BOIL. They serve you BOILED SEAFOOD. In a plastic bag. It's good. Eat here.
1st visit. The hostess was nice. Our waitress was meh. We had a large party and everyone who ordered first got their food last! They were out of crab cakes.. And when food came out for me and my fiance, they had mixed my order with my fiancé's and tried to charge extra for their mistake...where do they do that?! So, they had him to take the eggs they inadvertently put in his seafood boil out and wanted to give them to me but it was cooked with sausage and I don't eat swine! The fried shrimp were good.. but the boil didn't taste like it was cooked in the seasoning! They were cutting lights off by 8:58 pm. And they don't offer military discount! We drove 70 minutes for this. Won't be doing it again!
Drinks are outstanding! Boil are so huge for the price. Go immediately. Ask for Ariadna!
