Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and dry. The mash potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. Gravy was good. The beans were good & tasted like a hint of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ added. The fries cold and little soggy. We should have driven a little further to a reliable Popeyes.
After the fire, I didn't think they would come back but they did and a much needed update was done. Very nice and comfortable. If you like a good roast beef sandwich and hand made chocolate milk shake place to go
This one of my mom's favorite restaurants it's always nice and clean with friendly staff even the bathrooms are cleaned but I would like to see them remodel they been around on Richmond Hwy for centuries lol food still taste good though
Roy Rogers is a much smaller chain than it was in the '80s, but this location is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch when in the area. Customer service has always been polite and accurate, and the food is ready before you know it regardless of how busy they are.They offer the usual fare such as breakfast biscuits and cheeseburgers and fries. They are, however, one of the few fast food restaurants to offer creamed chipped beef or sausage gravy and biscuits. The signature roast beef sandwiches easily rival Arby's in my opinion.If you are passing through the Mount Vernon area and want a quick and inexpensive, but tasty, meal, stop in. You won't be disappointed!
Good breakfast food. The bear battered cod platter is awesome. Definitely need to use Boom Boom sauce with the fries.
The food was good the fries were really hot. The only downside was the chicken leg wasn't done enough for me.I will be back.
I have visited many Roy Rogers over the years and I have never had a bad experience in any of them. The quality and variety of the menu options should please everyone looking for fast food. There is always a friendly atmosphere and management takes pride in the staff, the cleanliness of the restaurant and most of all the food preparation. This restaurant is just another example of this pride. If you are traveling south from Alexandria on Route 1, stop in; you won't be disappointed.
Good roast beef and burgers. I can’t believe I’ve lived here for 15 years and have never tried it! Give yourself a break from all the other fast food places and go to Roy’s!
Everything was fresh and well prepared. This is our favorite Roy's in Va. Employees are super friendly.
