The store has a very down home feel to it. The staff is friendly, and the food, in this case the ¼lb burger with fries and onion rings, felt like an improved-upon version of what you would get at Cook-Out, which is to say it was fantastic. So fantastic that I forgot my drink was still largely full when I was almost finished. A wonderful little gem along the western outskirts of Alexandria, and worth my money, for sure.
Everything!!!! Almost. ;-)
I ordered the ribs platter . My sides were the mac n cheese , baked beans and jalapeño corn bread. The 3 stars is for the friendly service but the food was not worth it. $30 for this ? It all tasted bland and the side portions were small.
The BEEF RIBS & beef chilli were ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS!! The beef ribs are so tender & seasoned so well with enough marbling. I was in bliss. The beef ribs were rubbed with bbq sauce which was tasty but which they kept them naked, still tasty as it wasn’t overdoneThe Mac & cheese was just ok, didn't have anything too special about it but that's fine because the chili and the fribs made up for it.Also, it looks very cool for a barbecue spot.
Fantastic BBQ restaurant with the most competitive pricing, reasonably portioned options, broad selection, and easy to get to location. Granted, parking can be a challenge here, but it's definitely worth it. I love coming here before or after getting groceries because it's a quick and easy order for pickup. Ready in minutes! I love their jalapeno cornbread, potato salad, and sweet potato fries. If you're unsure of your first order, opt for the three meat platter. You won't be disappointed!
A month ago, a review said that this joint is the best BBQ spot n the area and that the meat from ribs fell off the bone. So i decided to try this place.Sorry guys, my experience was just the opposite. I am not a steak or BBQ chef but even i can tell that the ribs n chicken, were cooked fast just to be served on a Friday evening and it compromised the taste and quality of the food. I v had ribs from many places and this was my worst experience. Sadly. :(I don't like to give a bad review unless they deserve it. Unfortunately my experience with the food was '0' star and I had high hopes based on other reviews I read on Google. So, lesson learned. Read the bad first. :)pros:they have a good selection of beer on tap but little over priced compared to a brewery pricing.Customer service was good.
I’ve been looking for a nice bbq place since moving from Texas and holy cow this place does not disappoint! So much meat on the ribs (I ordered the regular size, not baby back) and the collard greens and blueberry pie were delicious. Will be eating here again!
It's the bare minimum of barbecue in my opinion. Their brisket tasted more like roast beef and had no smoky flavor or any seasoning that I could taste. Their yuca is more like french fries rather than authentic yuca and it even came with honey mustard which was funny to me. The front of house was nice and cool, that's why it's 2 stars instead of 1. Overall the meats were bland and that's my biggest complaint.
BEST bbq in this entire area!!!! When you pick up your rib bone the meat falls off of it! Amazing flavors on everything! All sides delicious, especially the Mac & cheese and brussel sprouts with bacon! Will definitely be returning and highly recommend!
Ribs and chicken were very tasty! Love the different sauces, and the potato salad. The coleslaw was crunchy and fresh BUT had a lot of caraway seeds which I don’t personally like.
