I had been to this location once back in 2014(?) and I remember it was really good, their crispy duck with basil was delicious. My family and I went back recently and it was still delicious! They don't overdo the garlic which is really nice. Our order consisted of pad thai, drunken noodles, ka prow and the crispy duck and it was all amazing! This will be our new go-to Thai place!
Solid 4/5!I've always passed by this place but never got a chance to give it a try. I was able to do so the other night with a friend and we both had a great experience here!The food: I went with my baseline of getting a Beef Pad Thai as my main entree. And surely enough, I was not disappointed. The flavor of the Pad Thai was great! Not too sweet, just right. And the flavor from all the ingredients mixed together were nicely seasoned. The portion was huge as well, it definitely left me leaving very full.The service: the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! The restaurant is slightly small, but was very nice and cozy. It was clean and was delightful to dine at.Overall, this is a great spot for some Thai food! I'll be back again for sure.
This is a great Thai place, with delicious curries, drunken noodles, and larb. My only criticism is that the potatoes in some dishes are consistently undercooked. The food is yummy and the service is wonderful.
Best Thai food in ALX! Their tofu pad see ew comes with tons of tofu and flavor! The spring rolls were super crispy and delicious!
Was skeptical coming here over my known thai places but I am really glad I came in. First of all it is clean and a nice ambiance, the service was incredibly quick and the bathroom was clean. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. I like that they actually have spicy food as opposed to other places that just don't do it for me. I ordered the pad thai, which was delicious. The portion size was very large and the meal is VERY affordable, $9.50 with tax. I highly recommend this place for a tasty, reasonably priced meal. Support local businesses!
The atmosphere was nice! The place looked clean; although, there was a fruit fly in my water. The food was excellent. It was spicy. So if you're sensitive to spice, I would recommend mentioning it to your server. The service was generally good. They were busy at first with takeout orders, but they were friendly.
Oh my!!! Rice and Spice is incredible!!!! The absolute best for the Alexandria/Mount Vernon area! The restaurant is super as well. Clean and tidy! The employees are kind and courteous. You absolutely must try this place if you’re close.
Last Sunday we thoroughly enjoyed a very delicious meal here. It was our first dine-in experience at this establishment since before the pandemic. During the pandemic, we ordered online for pick-up & it was always great. There were other diners with social distancing in-place & the wait staff wore masks the entire time. The food was authentically thai-licious! Our order consisted of the Crispy Squid With Basil and Pad Woonsen; both were excellent. We also ordered the Satay as an appetizer; also very tasty. The portions were pretty generous as well. Even though we love Pad Thai and Panang Curry, we decided to be adventurous and give the other entrees a try. We recommend Rice & Spice for those who enjoy Thai cuisine and great service.
They are consistently good! The food, customer service, and social distancing practices are a great place to grab a quick bite to go.
Very enjoyable, if a bit cozy inside. The food was great and I will enjoy more often.
